I told you, but, you cannot understand obviously - LOOK AT THE TRUE FIGURES.
thats all you need to do.. just becuase you assemble boxes in B&Q or something has nothing to do with simple understanding ! , and by god , it would appear to HAVE to be simple for you.(y)

LOOK - AT - THE - FIGURES !! -

FIAT's not some 'ecu remap 'manufacturing' company...

Boy racers - beleive anything... sheesh... :p

The company i work for has equipment in Jag, Daimler, Ford, Ferrari, Bentley, Renault and GM factories all over the world. Like i said, we don't change so much as a washer without a very good reason. There is a different ECU for a reason, Fiat haven't done it for fun. Now grow up.

Not at all, .. manufacturers often change ecus in different models, sometimes in the same model and different years.
Again, you are talking garbage without comparing the outputs -!
Forget some poxy 'remap' that ups the rev limiter and gives a tiny peak - almost as bad as the crap about shock absorbers making a DRAMATIC difference - YOU were heavily into that VERY dubious thread too... all subjective nonsense.

Just find the ouptut curves and look, that is all you need to know and is probably over your head as well by the way you are talking. If the figures are more or less the same, it makes jack difference what ecu it has on it.
Can you really not understand that ? - I cant dumb it down too much more for you ?.
Chip 'tuning' on a normally aspirated engine is virtualy ALWAYS a total waste of time and money. PERIOD.... whatever dubious claims certain companies come up with..

Your saying that changing standard suspension for better quality aftermarket equipment makes no difference?... now I know your just a button pusher.... over and out......

You are hilarious, my first dealing with you was on the air con thread where you claimed against conventional wisdom that air con doesn't help to demist. You know a lot less than you think you do. 5 minutes in any manufacturing environment will tell you that Fiat didn't change the ECU's for no reason.

I missed the air-con comment.....unbelievable.....

Please do a bit of math dear boy.
Convert 70KW into Mechanical HP and also into PS (Metric not taxable).....

I am sure you can look it up for yourself.. being in manufacturing and all that... :)

Now, come on my man.. publish the results of your math....

hmmm ???

and?

The ECU's are still different and it would be stupid to assume that the engines are identical.

Stop babbling on about outputs, I'm sure i can find a Renault with the same power as a Panda, does this mean they're the same engines?

ooo nooo, what I SAID was it doesnt make a DRAMATIC difference old boy...
also, air con does not dehumidify in a hot environment - only in a cold one - aircon on hot is not air con.... ! - and no one in their right mind uses chill on a winter morning.
Silly boy.... ;)

Whatever, I'm not going to deal with you anymore, next time I'm on a PC I'm blocking you, i hope others do likewise.

AND - you will get your power figures - well, YOU wont as it seems you are incapable.. do the math - then come back and tell all what the power output is.. with either ecu - give us the figures for both - it does not matter what ecu - it is the figures that matter - the real ones.

Are you SURE you are employed ?? - I mean - really lol :D someone PAYS you ?? - it cannot be for common sense.. :p

Look at it logically. Fiat, like any company are tight with cash (it's how they, like any business make money) they won't spend money on something unless there is a reason for doing so. They don't just wake up one day and say "Hey... Lets go and burn some money on different ecu's! no reason, just because we can"

There will be a reason, perhaps to accommodate a different tuning map for economy or to move power up or down rev range, perhaps for a different immobilizer setup... perhaps even just to make them cheaper. Just because the ecus's have the same headline figure for power doesn't automatically mean they are the same ecu's that do the same thing, or the car will be the same on the road with either fitted.

Expensive suspension can and will make a dramatic difference to any car and air-con used on a cold morning with the heater has a drying effect on the air inside the car therefore removing the condensation from the windows.

And all this 'silly boy' and 'old chap' nonsense is a bit 70's sitcom isn't it?....I like to think of Fiat owners as cool and 21st century.
