Me again :p Is there different trim levels for the 100hp pandas? From what i've seen online they all seem to have the same interiors and kit..
Apparantly they came in 5 different guises.
1. Standard all the toys trim
2. As above with better HiFi (Different door speakers, tweeters and sub
3. The special order ripped back seat version with shiny steering wheel - often has strange stains on the seat too.
4. Wanna be Rally / Racer version with furry dice, polished gear knob and aluminium pedals so the fake nomex boots grip after pushing it from the mud on a forest stage..
5. Single parent special - this model has all luggage space removed to make way for huge pointless speakers in the boot area to advertise to the local school children that the drug dealer is coming. It is similar in a way to when those of us who are not so young were notified of the imminent arrival of the icecream man.
;)

I brought one from new in 2007. If i remember correctly the only diff to interior was a sub. The only other options were sky roof, pandemonian (spelling) kit which was red calipers, a strip and slightly different coloured wheels. And it came in grey, black, white red and a lovely blue.

Kept it for just over two years, loved it but like most the harsh ride became tiresome. For the money it was great car though. I drive a small ford now which has around the same 0-60 time as the Panda HP , but the ride is on another level. If Fiat could have built it with Ford like suspension i would prob still have it now. But I am an old git , so need my comfort. :)

Side air bags and some kind of traction control system (that's what the blank button opposite the "sport" button is for) were also optional extras. The sub also came with different door speakers (different part numbers at least) and tweeters. Finally, some 100HPs have AUX input capability on the stereo and some don't, but that's an age thing (newer = AUX capability), not spec.

Never heard of the AUX capability, mine was a late 2010 last of the line model and it didnt have it. The major difference was that the Blue & Me system was removed on the last cars. The sub and hi-fi system was standard. The major difference is the large Ford Transit style door mirrors. A CD changer was also offered on some earlier models.

Double press the CD button to get the HU into AUX mode, then as long as you connect up an AUX cable to the back of the HU, you're good to go. I know it works, I have one in my car. The sub wasn't always standard, my car doesn't have a sub (or the wiring for it) or tweeters. Was it standard later on? I totally forgot about the Transit van mirrors, bloody health and safety :p. The bluetooth system is useless anyway, it just shouts at you in Italian. It does work if you translate what it's on about, but it's far from practical.

Well I cant try it now as I no longer have the car. A bit pointless in an AUX if its stuck behind the unit. The steering wheel controls are different, you no longer had a green and red phone icon. These were replaced by a mute button and (I think) a source button. GunmetalPo will know more as he has the car now. The sub and 6 speaker system were all standard on the final cars. The only options available in the MY10 were a sunroof, side air bags, traction control and pandomonium kit.

For Aux input you had to buy a cable, splice the ends then connect it correctly to the back of the unit. Then run the cable to the front cup holder where you could sit your MP3. It was ok and worked for about six months. I guess one of the cables worked loose, and i never bothered with it again. I think all 100HP had the aux inputs.

I must admit I like the size of the wing mirrors, much more useful than the small ones on previous models. (I also drive a Transit at work which has far bigger mirrors than my Panda!)

The Bluetooth is basic and really depends on what phone you have. When I originally got mine I had a basic lg phone where the buttons would only answer/disconnect, if you pressed green button it would simply redial the last number you called.

I now have an iPhone 5c and pressing green button activates Siri and so I can do a lot more without touching my phone. I love the fact it will read out text messages and I can dictate replies whilst the phone is safely in my pocket.

I've had mine from new for just over 4 years now, still makes me smile when I press the sport button. It's been the most reliable car I've owned and has only needed the Bluetooth mic and rear shocks replacing, both under warranty.

I've also been through one set of tyres and had rear offside brake pad wear out unevenly to the rest (I believe this was due to it being applied as the handbrake)

I would also avoid speed bumps at all costs, very unpleasant experience in the 100hp!!

We've owned ours for nearly 7 years, and I still love it. Very few problems, but I do need to sort out the aerial base and window mirror switch. Only things that went wrong otherwise are knocking rear dampers (warranty) and passenger window runner jamming. I reckon the drivers seat base is now sagging slightly too, but not an issue.

Small door mirrors are great, no problem with visibility.

We have a variety of cars, and the 100hp is always worth taking for spin.

Went to have a look at a 100hp today everyone. 2009, grey, 41,000 miles and some service history. £4700.

took it for a test drive and was really impressed. The ride was fairly rough as you have said but it was pretty easy to drive and everything.

There was a few spots where the paint had chipped and the odd scratch (nothing major but id rather keep looking for better) so im still on the lookout
