One of the main reasons is most likely the number of punto models released over the last few years
The mk2 punto was the alternative when the panda came out since then there has been the grande the evo and back to the 2012 punto where as the panda has seen only one replacement in the same period and some minor cosmetic changes
Every time a new model comes out it cuts the price of the older model, looks wise a 2010 panda is no different to a 2004 panda, however the comparison in puntos is over the same period they are totally different cars. Public perception of 'the old model' makes a big difference to the value
