General reason for pandas holding value over puntos?

One of the main reasons is most likely the number of punto models released over the last few years

The mk2 punto was the alternative when the panda came out since then there has been the grande the evo and back to the 2012 punto where as the panda has seen only one replacement in the same period and some minor cosmetic changes

Every time a new model comes out it cuts the price of the older model, looks wise a 2010 panda is no different to a 2004 panda, however the comparison in puntos is over the same period they are totally different cars. Public perception of 'the old model' makes a big difference to the value

This plus some heavy discounting on new sales. A friend recently bought a new punto gbt with brio pack that was cheaper than pre-registered pops. Alloy wheels, blue and me, sports seats, dual zone climate control and cruise control for less than £9k new? The used market is bound to suffer.

Given the premium you pay for a 500 you'd bloody well hope so :p

Hmm.......using the ultimate arbiter of destruction - the Spanish hire car - I found the 32000km 500 we had a few weeks ago worse for wear than the similar mileage Mk3 Panda we had 6 months ago. The 500 seemed a bit tired (no surprise for hire cars) and it squeaked like Sooty with Tourette's after sniffing 10 grams of Charlie.

Your point is invalid as Sooty was entirely silent.
It was Sweep who did the squeaking.

Yeah.........I realised that, though I think Sooty did probably secretly squeak at an extremely high pitch. How else do you explain his clear and understandable diction to both Sweep, Sue and Mr Matthew? Either that or it's as a said - he had Tourette's and so the BBC were forced to silence his profanities instead of that comical dubbing they used on the made-for-TV version of Beverley Hills Cop: "Hey you Sweep, you Melon Farmer - get the fun off my melon farming wife. Shoot".

I think we may be off topic though.

I had a thing for Soo, I think thats where my love for Pandas began....

Did all these shows that we lovingly remember have sexual overtones.
There was the rather naughty Magic Roundabout, then of course, the totally non PC Captain Pugwash... I mean, Master Bates ! - Seaman Staines, Roger the Cabin Boy....
Yes, they were their names...... :D - there were some **** taking writers in those days, and Florence was definitely not a Virgin....
