I've been think of trading up my Jag and fancied a new Mito QV, no need for a big estate car anymore.
Just been out to look at them, but nothing to test drive, bugger!

While I was drooling over the show car at the local Alfa dealer, the Mrs had popped next door, which was Fiat.
I caught up with her as she was signing the papers for a new Panda, took her 15 minutes to decide (and not ask me)

So on the 14th will be changing forum rooms and she (me) will be the proud owner of a brand new 1.2 Lounge in Cancun Red.

I'm going to strip off the roof bars (love handles) on the old one before it goes in to trade, so they should be available soon if anyone is interested.

Oo oo oo, I would be interested in some Panda roof bars - can I have first dibs please? PM'd you!

It wasn't her plan, I only decided to go to the dealers that lunch, she was still vegging in front of the box and wasn't originally going to come with me.

I'm not overly sold on the idea.
Trading in Archie is like having a faithful Labrador put down with a shotgun :)cry: I'm holding them back, but I might not when I hand the keys over)
We've agreed not to mention new car in front of him, only refering to it as NC.

He's been great, super cheap running costs and a hoot to drive, I could service him for £40, 4 tyres cost me £112 fitted, only a duff O2 has shortened his stride in the reliability stakes.

I've my fingers crossed the change of production from Poland to Italy hasn't ruined the built quality, after all, I'm old enough to remember the trouble with Pomigliano and the AlfaSud, though the 159 wasn't a bad car I suppose.

I'm unsold on a "Lounge", paying £250 for Red and why so powerful, 69bhp is far too much!

I'm not tight, well maybe a little, but the idea of a little Fiat to me is, less is more.
Steering wheel, three pedals, a seat, maybe more if I like my friends, something to stop you getting wet, lights, wiper (one was enough for the original) oh and a horn, well it is Italian :D

I'll get this love handles off first and check the condition.

Whatdoyamean THEY??? :p

hee hee, ya know, them from Venus..... (y)

The strange ones who like shoes and handbags and don't understand why you want to strip the engine in front of the fire in the lounge (I mean ! where ELSE would you do it, it is warm there).... yeah, those... :D

Sheeesh... :p

Yeah, she did get a bit stroppy when I had my Triumph engine in bits under the bed.
Well where else do you keep important stuff?

EXACTLY !!!! (y)

Kitchens are great for bike engines, also small car engines, a rover V8 is ok as it is light being all alloy, providing it's a good table !!!.
Also, the sink is great as a gunk tank and wash off unit - twin sinks are better.
'They' just don't understand.
Nowt better than pressing the gudgeon pin in upstairs either... or indeed, checking ones big end...

Perhaps if it happens again you could make her a bed up in the garage ? - just throw a few shoes in to keep her happy ??? - just a thought, priorities, priorities.

After years I found Miss Right, !! I just didn't realise at the time her first name was 'always'

:nono: I leave you boys for a while and go to work and come home to find that you are washing parts of your car in the kitchen sink!

I thought of that and the solution was a double sink in the laundry room - one for the clothes and one for the car parts. :p You need to sort it. Lol!

And I hate nothing more than shopping for shoes!!! :ROFLMAO:

Will you two stop it !!!! :bang:

you are making me nostalgic, I now cannot get the sound of the A series sprite 12G295 cylinder head in the tumble dryer out of my mind. :D

Tried getting a ford 711m block into a twin tub once as well, it was tight !!

Ah the old days, bringing home my first bike, a Suzy TS250, in a wheel barrow and a few buckets (seriously) (y) ..... that DID get the full sink treatment....

I am the feckin' dishwasher!

Commiserations to you sir!

Best thing about extending the house other than the big garage and laundry room was the ability to put a dishwasher in!!!

I so hate washing dishes!

:chin: the tumble drier?

:chin: the tumble drier?

yes, it had a sort of Bass Beat to it as it smashed the dryer to pieces.... kinda relaxing really, I was trying to emulate the abrasive tumble action same as silver cutlery polishing at GlenEagles hotel. but using builders sand.....
Wasn't one of my better ideas... (n) :D
I never did like that tumble dryer.....

Well, one 'as to experiment doesn't one... ? :yum:
