Thinking of tinting the top half of my rear lights to give a darker tone

I know now only fly eyes are legal, I don't want to go too dark probably about the same as 50% window tint

Two questions, how much will I need and what tone should I go for?

Thanks in advance!

Grey or black should do you I reckon, am quite tempted myself with tinting the top half of the lights to tie in with the windows and give a cleaner look.

On their website they do different tints of black and grey mate, only 13.50 plus p n p from their website for the biggest size and you get a squeegee

Worth getting a couple sheets of the biggest size then I guess if it's that price. Could use leftovers to replace rear tints if needed or tint other bits like side reps or fogs?

Have u not looked into oracal 8300 I had fly eye and took it off opting for oracal a nicer shiner finish and looks more factory imo.

I've got black side reps and no fogs, getting the wiring loom is impossible, been to a few scrappies and got the fogs and housing, just every one has took the looms and the center button for the fogs

Looks great! For some reason I thought you were referring to a 100HP due to the standard rear window tints.

Got black 1 fly eyes, tried the grey and it didn't look right, only needed 50x45 to do it so only cost 8 quid!

I used Lamin-x on the front fogs of my old 100hp, the stuff is (y)

Still gotta say should have tried oracal 8300 much better finish, I had flyeye not a patch on oracal flyeyes not a bad product just oracals so much better but still nice work well done mate.

i want 'murder mine out' its black, with black wheels, the badges are now with black surrounds instead of the red and the callipers are red. legally speaking are fly eyes the only ones legal? and how much do you think i need to do my side repeaters, front lights and rear lights and possibly fogs?

thanks GUYS!

There's a few different ones that are legal but fly eyes are good to fit yourself in a morning, best thing to do is loosely measure your lights, and add about 3cm to each measurement, that'll give you enough, I used 40x50 cm but had a lot of extra, make sure you get black 1 :)

I've thought about it, if you have standard bulbs they become nearly invisible, you'll need to upgrade to osram nightbreakers or Phillips extremevision

They should be fine, it's just the standard bulbs are incredibly dim, they have a minor affect, but not enough to worry about
