yeah, ok..... Bling Nazi :D

Best would be have to have them all just to blink at the same time and get rid of stock bulb, making it all led headlight. Without angel and devil eye thingy too. Something like that u might like I think. HID projector, led indicators and led side light, all blended in and stealthy looking. (y)

I think mr demi god shud make some for those of us that like such items...there again he prob won't cos he wud lose his uniqueness....I likes.

Yep, I'm with Gav on this... the lights are lame!
Thats why I went ahead and made my own! :D:D:D

...

Hello,
I saw this video on youtube before and decide to do it too.
Have you perhaps made recordings during this work?
How complicated is to take down headlight and front glass of headlight?
Thanks

@Saucey, you r right about the uniqueness but I'm not worried about that as every one has different tastes so even if I start making these for ppl I doubt there will be two of the same.

The only problem that is stopping me making these is the costs. Its always cheaper to buy and aftermarket part as its mass produced rather than get some one to make a custom one. Its always cost a lot more. I will need a new set of headlights ( about £150 ) can get the LHD one as long as Projector lens is RHD. Then HID Projector lens kit ( £60-£80 ). Then what ever extra items customer will want on top of that ei LEDs and paint ( + £££) and finally the actual labor cost ( + £££ ).

So I hope u see my point. These custom headlights turn out to be very expensive. Therefor I tried to make a little guide so ppl can try themselves.

Hi there,

Sorry I did not make any recording as this mod took me about a year from start to finish as I was constantly hitting obstacles and dead ends. Only have pictures.

The glass is not that heard to take off the back if u have new headlights. Just need 5 mins in the oven at 150-180 degrees and then a heat gun to slowly pray the glass off with a help of flat headed drivers (dont forget to wear heat resistant gloves ;)) If u using ur old existing headlights for this mod then it will be a lot harder as the glue is old and very hard. If u take ur time and do it slowly. Heat one section with a gun and go at it with drivers at a time then u shouldnt break anything. Mind u its hard to break anything there as the glass is a very hard plastic and back of it is very flexible.

U will need to buy new sealant to re seal the lights after u finish ur mod. That will involve taking old sealant off.

If u have any more questions buddy, just PM me and I ll talk u through as much as I can. (y)

Surprised so many people like these to be honest, think they look absolutely terrible!

I'm not happy with the amount of light produced by standard headlights (maybe it's my years of production ), so I decide to try to help myself.
Demi
I just need one more clarification.
"Glass", from a headlight, are difficult to remove, even though in fact made of plastic (as I think)?

I forgot to mention my Panda's 2005th year.

No, not difficult but takes time and patience. U have to heat the sealant to make it soft and pull glass off slowly, heat, pull, heat, pull

Watch some youtube videos for guide lines...

Why not do a HID conversion? Be a lot brighter, a lot cheaper than making your own headlights and keep the OEM look instead of bling Xmas decorations :D

Because its illegal? ... U will need projector to direct the beam in a legal way.

Not a full blown conversion I meant those plug and play kits you can get with the little boxes you attach near the headlights.

Yes, they are very dangerous to oncoming road users, and to confirm what Demi said - THEY ARE ILLEGAL TO RETRO FIT TO A VEHICLE WITH REFLECTOR HEADLAMPS!

Fair enough guys!! I haven't fitted one of these kits but know of mates who have. Most of them bought them from well known motor factors so I presumed they were legal. Only suggesting an idea!

A lot get away with this by marking the boxes 'not for road use' / 'not for use on road' etc.

Fair enough I wasn't aware of this. As I said I presumed they were ok but I apologise. *hangs head in shame*

No worries, no need to hang head in shame, was probably an over reaction on my part, but with the amount I have to deal with on my daily commute coming towards me and dazzling myself and everyone else it does become a big pet hate.

Just like driving while on the phone and smoking in company vehicles, no one can be bothered to police nuisance HID kits.

Indeed. It does make me laugh, at a time with all these cut back it'd be a lovely little money maker for them, and even keep some in a job if they had a team driving about specifically policing these smaller issues.
