I'm getting a custom backbox next month and have an idea of the sort of sound I'm after and the overall design but I'm struggling with what size to go for in terms of the end pipe? Any ideas/pictures greatly appreciated!

I have an Ulter-sport rear box on mine with an 80mm tip which I think is big enough although they also do a 100mm tip, i'd quite like one with twin 50mm round exits but no one does it.

That does look really nice. 80mm so just over 3in, I was thinking of around 3.5 or possibly even 4 but want to avoid it looking boy racery.

Think a 4in would be too big. I do think the standard one looks far too puny but don't want to go overkill.

I will measure mine later as I'm really intrigued now! I thought i had my mind set on pipe design and now a spanner has been thrown in the works.

How about this ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1392034788.141257.jpg

Mine's parked out back, I'll go and measure it now. The dual-pipe looks mint on the 100HP, you can fit either the Abarth 500 dual-pipe or the Ragazzon one. Both are road legal, but both mean cutting another hole in the rear bumper of the 100HP, so you have to be sure before you fit it!

Update: the bore of standard 100HP tailpipe is 60x45mm (horizontal x vertical).

I was thinking of just the single pipe as I don't trust anyone to cut my bumper not even myself! Be quite a cool exhaust keeping things OEM

That's quite nice. Not heard of this make before but seems a lot of 100hp owners have them. Any good?

Blimey I would never have guessed it was over 2 inches wide!! Maybe a 4in tip the way forward... Gah this is difficult!

I can't speak from personal experience, but I've never heard anything bad about Ultersport. I'd never heard of them either, prior to becoming a FF member.

I reckon the oval shaped Ultersport is the best option. It keeps the original size, but makes the exhaust look less...pathetic. Also, it's on offer at the moment, which is always good ;)!

Works out about 100 quid plus I guess delivery and packaging. Good price!

I'm sticking to custom though to fine tune the sound.

Ulter-sport are doing a discount at the moment through their own website and they are nice quality for the money although i did have to chase my order up with them as they took a few weeks to process it, you also get the peace of mind of being able to use paypal.

That's exactly the reason I'm changing mine from stock. Had the HP up on the ramp the other day and the backbox looks really bad, it's concave on both edges, cracked and split, definitely affecting performance so roll on March and payday lol! I figured seeing how the price I've been quoted for a custom job is less than a standard may as well! Will put some pics up before and after once it's sorted :)
