The problem with the 6x15" ET 40 wheels is, that the 195/50 tires is sticking out compared to the 6J wheel width.
Maybe they would fit without spaces with a 185/55R15" tire.

Find out today that one of the centre caps is different compare to the rest when i starting sanding it down.

Yeah there is an improved part, the originals lost the black coating very easily, you'll see on the back it's date stamped

So, Friday i will see if the wheels fit.
12 mm spacers are still on the car with the steel winter wheels, so i start there.
6.5x16" ET 35, 195/45R16 with 12mm spacers.
If it is to wide i will remove the 12 mm spacers and see if the wheels will fit without them.

Ready as they are.

The wheels look nice but the ride will be harsh surely with such narrow tyres?

How did you get on with the spacers? I was going to fit 10mm but the wheels wouldn't sit on the ring on the hub

I'm running 12mm spacers behind the steel winter wheels.
These spacers fit very tight and can not put on with hand.
They need to be fitted with the wheel bolts to get them in place.
The smallest space between spacer and hub can create fibrations.

Vryday i will know if they can stay on or have to be removed from the hub.

Last summer i had 195/50R15" tyres on the car and could not feel any difference to my 155/80R13 or my 165/65R14" tyres.
Suspension is very good though with a Koni - AP combination.

Just not sure how the wheels sit on the ring on the hub with 12 mm spacers as 10mm were too wide for it to look safe

gavin: You need spacers with their own (58 mm) ring to centre the wheel on.
H&R make good ones.
Not a fan of spacers myself though.

I was no fan of spacers either but needed them to be able to fit the Lancia wheels with 195 tyres on the Panda.
I have sero problems with them and they are still on the car with the winter wheels on.
So my point of view about spacers has changed a bid, i will only mounting then when really needed.
When they are not needed with the new wheels, i will remove them.

I am sorry to say that to me they look like the wheels from a model T ford ....
I do not think they suit the car in the slightest..

Everybody is free to there own opinion.
I like them, they have the perfect fit without the nasseccary spacers.
There is no rubbing what so ever, and give a very sharp drive with a very nice weight in the steering wheel.
My winter set-up will be 5.5x14" with 175/65R14" tires.

Interesting, not sure whether I like them or not, they look nicer in that colour though.

I like. Nice mix of pastel and black.Understated and slightly intimidating.

That is the theme i'm after, Pastel and black all the way.

For now i have just sand down the 500 decals from the centre caps.
In a later stadium i'm planning to make them complete mat black.
