The wife hit a kerb with the panda whilst out shopping. I've had a look underneath and it looks like the lower suspension arm has been bent as the wheel has oved backwards about an inch in the wheel arch. gonna get a new arm tomorow and fit it. does anyone have any advice on doing it as never done one before but looks simple enough as its only 3 bolts.

pretty easy to fit and 13 mm spanner and socket for pinch bolt and 18mm socket for the other bolts, you will need a breaker bar to slacked the 18mm headed bolts. Check to see if steering rack isn't bent as would be very surprised if it isn't if the arms got bent as its a substantial lower arm on panda! Has it damaged tyre and wheel? Might be a good idea to get it checked over by a decent mechanic! Never known a lower arm of its size bending while not affecting something else.

my dad is a machanic and he reckons its just the arm so happy to go with that, he just hasn't got time this week to do it but says its looks like a pretty simple set up to do. Just wondered if anyone on here had done one before and is there any tricks to removing as all cars have their tricks if you know what i mean. Wheel just slightly scuffed but not bent tyre ok. certainatly has no wobble through steering wheel when driving so think she's been quite lucky just bending the arm .Steering ever so slightly out but I am guessing thats because the arm is bent. Will get it tracked up after i've done it tomorow eve in the garage.(y)

Got the job done!(y) was a little bit awkward at points as bolts had gone rusty. the steering is spot on now and not pulling to left any more and the steering wheel is dead centre going down the road. also the clearance looks right around the wheel in the arch so dont think i'll bother with tracking for now as all seems pretty good so i'll just keep an eye on the tyre wear for now.;) I also changed the drop link on that side too (will do the other side at the weekend) but it all feels like a brand new car now. I love our panda!!!!!:p:p
