2006 1.1 active, excellent car in all respects, just one niggle with starting. Turns easily ,starts easily but not without extra throttle shoe to keep it running and if I dont remember and it dies and also knocks out the clock. Even with a warm engine it still needs help. Local garage tried computer plug in but no error code appeared.

This is just an idea, but clock resetting has been associated with battery problems on the Panda.

I'm thinking that the extra rpm is also spinning up the alternator & raising the voltage up by just enough to keep it running.

Modern cars can be somewhat chossy when it comes to battery voltage & sometimes replacing even seemingly good batteries can fix these sort of problems.

A bad earth or other connection can also have the same effect.

There's more to diagnosing problems than just connecting a computer and reading error codes.
