Has anyone ever mated a group 'N' ragazzon mid pipe up to a standard backbox and is it significantly louder?

I'd be tempted if I thought it'd go through an m.o.t but I don't think that will and what's more annoying is that I swore after years of modded veedubs i'd leave the panda alone.....that lasted about five months..

If a group N is the pipe without a centre box they do pass an MOT ;-)

Is the noise tested at tickover because its not too bad then?, its when you rev it that it all gets a bit lairy..
At tickover the noise is a nice burble,but with the MOT it's all down to the the testers ears, I've never seen a db meter come out.

Mine gets through the MOT ok, with a Group N middle pipe and backbox.
Doesn't sound that loud at all really??
I fitted a Remus Race Tube and Remus road legal back box to my 500, it was too loud and drony at cruising speed so I had a Powerflow centre silencer put in which made it just right. Personally I wouldn't advise getting the group N centre section. Here is a video of my car with the race tube.

No but I don't really want people pointing and laughing either..
If you want loud, how about this which I recorded at Oulton Park in August. Unfortunately I left it till the last lap of practice so he slows down as he crosses the line but you'll get an idea of what it was like.
To be honest I think loud exhausts are best kept to the track or on motorbikes, where you can't hear them above the wind noise. In my car the novelty soon wore off.
