Hi,
I've just bought a Fiat Panda 1.2 2004. When I looked at the car the dealer told me the fob didn't work, he guessed it was the batteries. It's a single key and a small round fob. The key works fine unlocking the car and starting the car,
My questions are: Is there a sequence to program the fob when I replace the batteries ?
Also, if the fob is buggered, are they expensive to replace ?
I've looked on ebay and none of the fobs look nothing like it, it's just a small round fob with a single button in the middle.

Thanks in advance :)

mines same year same model, should be blue one three buttons, well if key fits and starts car then is right key and ignition chip, might not have central locking on that model or key is a replacement. dont take apart as the chicp is in a glass tube you might damage it

Hi mate, and WELCOME TO THE FORUM

Does your fob look like this?

If so its a add on Meta kit. It shouldnt need reprogramming after a battery change. Theyre not too expensive to replace if the unit has failed.

Yeah thats the 1, thanks Alan much appreciated. I'll try and change the batteries :)

hi again, I replaced the batteries in the fob. The indicators flash once when I press the fob and then flash twice when pressed again but the central locking doesn't seem to work. Is the central locking supposed to work?

when you put key in drivers door and unlock with key, do all the other doors unlock ?
if pressing the fob activated the indicators then that means fob and receiver is ok

Thanks for the reply Jon,
Yeah all the doors unlock when I use the key in the drivers door

well sounds like everything is working ok,
maybe your alarm does not lock the doors.
i have seen some threads on here about fitting these alarm modules you may be able
to find them and find out where it is located and check all the wiring is connected
