hi.

I bought a 100hp for my dad 2 years ago as a little runabout. He's starting to struggle with a manual tranny and especially with the lack of space for his left foot in the fiat so I've replaced it with a more comfortable automatic car.

I now have a lovely 100hp on my drive which unfortunately I don't really have a purpose for so will end up selling. I'm in no rush though so I'm going to hang on to it for a few months first and hoon around like the teenager I once was!

A few questions I can't seem to find answers to:

  • I'm going to get the alloys repaired but can't find an exact colour code. The car has the Pandamonium Pack so I understand these are meant to be a little darker. Any advice?
  • I can't help but notice that the car's underside scuffs/scratches on almost every speed hump I go over... is this normal for the 100hp? I get over these

kind of bumps with absolutely no trouble in a BMW and even in a Porsche but in the Panda I get a proper scratch sound almost every time! I've looked underneath... the plastic cover under the engine seems to be sagging slightly, but only a centimetre or so. Is this normal or do I have a problem on my hands? I'm only 80kg, just in case someone tries to be a smart arse!!
  • The rear boot floor in my car appears to just be an uneven piece of carpet on top of the spare. Looks a bit untidy to be honest. Am I missing some kind of panel / board?
Thanks in advance! Oh, and photo below

Smart looking Panda you have there!

The boot carpet sounds about right... it is a Fiat afterall!

The scraping could also be the exhaust centre silencer. Do you go over the bumps with a wheel either side?

Best colour and also with the roof!

1. My 100hp is fine over those speed bumps, though I wouldn't even take them at 20mph to be honest........

2. The boot floor carpet sounds right. I guess the extra £50k they charge extra for a Porsche must fund the boot floor covering.

3. The wheel colour - it is darker on the Pandamonium though am not sure of the colour. Most decent paint shops would match it though.

Thanks buddy!

When I straddle evenly over one of those bumps, the underside scrapes. If I take one wheel over the top, its fine. Equally, if I go over a normal bump which spans the width of the road it goes over fine as well.

I'm going to ramp it up and take a better look. Will check the exhaust, although just passed an MOT cleanly so can't imagine there is an issue

By the way... LOVE how the bluetooth speaks to you in Italian!

U have to take speed bumps a lot slower than other cars. We are talking about stock suspension on 100HP after all :D. Also, go over them with passenger side wheels only. U wont scrape anything and wont stress springs on the left (where u are sitting) this way wont increase the spring sag. :D

Right!! So I've put the Panda up for sale (n)

Its in the classifieds on this website but I can't attach a link to this thread because your forum doesn't allow people with less than 5 posts to do that. But if someone can find it and post a link that would be useful! It's the white one, HY58VWV.

Any thoughts welcome. Have I missed anything important? Have I got the price wrong?

Secretly hoping the phone doesn't ring and then I can tell SWMBO that I've tried my best and that we should keep it!
