i have a 2010 1.1 eco, initially replaced the OEM conti's with the same however couldnt find any the second time around and had to go with goodyear duragrips. last week i went for yokohama blue earths from blackcircles as they had a really good energy and grip ratings plus triple clubcard points!

the great thing about the panda is that you can have pretty much any tyre you want for abut 50 quid a corner if you shop around on line!

100hp, uniroyal rainsport 2's, had them on the mrs' mx5 and transformed the handling. As the name says they are orientated at wet weather but great in the dry too

My Panda came with two very cheap ones on the front. (155/80 13) Very vague and understeered horribly. Replaced with Contis and it goes where it is pointed. I would expect any of the big brand names to work fine, some cheap ones might, but it won't be me testing them.

I'm on Michelin Energy. Much better than the Continentals. Going to be trying out Michelin Alpins this winter as the Continental WinterContacts apparently won't be available till the end of December.

Greetings!

I'm using Uniroyal Rainexpert on a Multijet.

When it rains I feel safe.

155 / 80 / 13 hankook optimo 715 on front, conti's on the back. soon to be moved round to hankook on the back and minerva winter on the front, wanted sailun ice blazers but hard to get in 155/80/13 worked Amazing on the punto could not believe what a difference they made

You might have a point there, was thinking more for forward grip up hills etc but as the hankooks are brand new i might put the winters on the back as they are part used from last year but still like new.

If you need 4 winter tyres on then you're driving to fast in adverse conditions. I'd only put them on the front purely for traction, like i say if it's so bad you could lose the back end, SLOW DOWN!

heck this could be a whole new thread, which way to fit tyres lol.
traction is probably the main thing as i live in a hilly area but do drive slow in bad conditions, going to get them fit when the snow arrives ( next few weeks ) so will probably end up on the front. i need 2 new ones on the rear at some time. Had sailun ice blazers on the front of my punto last year and they were amazing never got stuck and had contis on the back. i think a couple of winters on the front is better than normal summer tyres all round but will buy a couple of hankook for the front in the spring so i have same all round for rest of year.

Just put Avon ZV3's on mine as my local tyre fitters were doing a good deal on them, they seem ok so far and turn in is pretty sharp but i'll be interested to see how resistant they are to aquaplaning as the eagles i had on before were terrible.

I've got Avon ZT5'S but they are somewhat disappointing, I don't like to push them in the dry or wet. For the winter I have Goodyear Ultragrip 7's which are great tyres but are directional, which means that you can't rotate them for even wear without turning the tyres round on the rims.
