Sure seems to be a lot of these failing after 4 or 5 years...puts you off a 100HP a bit...

Hey guys, I'm just going through the 3 or 4 heater topics over the past few weeks and separate posts or reports of others within those various topics with this issue and it adds up to more like 9 or 10, not 2! One dealer reported 3 or 4 alone within a few months.

How many are the same problem though, or even relating to the same vehicle if thats from a general web search.

Try searching similar for Renaults and Peugeots etc ;)

No, good point and that's fair enough of course, I'm on bmw and Saab forums and as we all know *all* makes have their issues and forums show all the problems not the problem free average owners! ;)

(I am referring to topics on this forum, not the whole web!)

Only issue I have is that I wouldn't dream of not having a full warranty on my Beemer but on a little Fiat I don't want to shell out!

hi lads, just reading this thread is making me sweat at bit at prices. my heater on my 100hp has very recently stuck on the window demist setting, which frankly is not a major problem this time of the year. its blowing hot and cold, I just cant change the direction I want airflow. will that be old unit out, new 1 in then?
