Another week in the hills of Spain and another 750 miles in a hire car. Good news - it was a FIAT 500 1.2 Lounge.

I spent the week marvelling at the turning circle and the excellent ride of the 500 (compared to our 100hp). I also spent a week whining about the stupid big/heavy 2-door format and I did find the 1.2 a little modest on performance (feels less perky than our old Seicento). It averaged 41.5 mpg. Our 100hp does 36mpg (as does the Seicento) in hilly Derbyshire.

Still, when I got back in the 100hp this morning (after nearly throwing the door off its hinges) all was forgiven. Til I had to stand it on its nose ready for the speed bumps. Oh well.
