evening all,

my car has a few very noticeable stone chips on the bonnet and was wondering if the fiat touch up pens would be worthwhile trying?

cheers

Yes, they work well.

I'd suggest you don't use the built-in brush, but buy a decent small artist's brush and use that instead.

thanks!

on the fiat website it mentions applying a coat of laqcuer, is this essential?

do you just touch it up, let it dry and polish?

The lacquer is supplied with the touch up paint. Personally I'd recommend using it after applying the paint, leaving it for a week or so to dry, then polishing it out.

Make sure the surface is completely clean and free of any wax or silicone otherwise the paint won't stick properly. Claying the area around the chip thoroughly before you start is one way of achieving this.

Applying several thin coats is much better than putting on a large blob of paint.
