Hi all, hoping someone can help me with this – been trawling through the forums for old posts on this subject but haven't had much luck with my specific issue.

Essentially I've just bought a '10 reg Panda dynamic eco 5-door, and it doesn't have roof rails fitted. I'm looking at getting some roof bars (i.e. ones that fit straight into the fixing points, without needing rails), but I'm reading that they're too far apart for most roof boxes.

From looking at the forums the best information I can find from another thread is that the actual dimensions are roughly 41" apart, or 104-105cm.

I could drill new holes in the roof box so that it fits the official Panda bars, as has been suggested, but the problem is that I'm also trying to get hold of a foldable Thule Ranger 90 because I don't have the space to store a solid roof box.

The length of the Thule Ranger 90 is apparently 110cm externally, 105cm internally (vs 104-105cm between the official panda roof bars).

The last thing I want to do is buy one then find out I can't fit it even with the new holes drilled, so I was wondering if anyone's had any experience of a similar set-up? Is it worth looking into some of the third party roof bars that don't use the fixing points (i.e. Thule or some of the universal models), if they're going to be closer together once fitted?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

Can't help out on the distance as I have rails, but the Ranger is very handy. We stored ours in our hotel room when we used it.
