Got my little Panda (Splott) last week. Racked up something like 600 miles and so far loving it! :D

Small, very chuckable, a hoot on the lanes, easy in traffic, quiet, and still can get its shift on.

Have a few mods planned... Debadge, dewiper and aero blades. After 600 miles the rear window was still clear, so I'm assuming the rear end isn't too 'sucky' like some cars. If its bad in winter, ill probably stick it back on.

Will probably swap indicators to silvers. The oranges make it look a bit cross eyed!

Might have a go at some red tubing on the grill. The car has other red details (calipers painted red) so curious how this will look. red and grey go pretty well i think though.

Thinking about blackening the interior roof and front pillars. And then adding some red details into the interior... gaiter, vents etc.

Oh, also thinking about plastidipping the wheels black. I think could look good on a grey car. Like the idea that dipping is reversible too!

Oh... and the question I originally asked the other week.... Will a Mountain Bike fit in the back?

Will it fit?

Yes it will!

Almost identical to mine!

Btw I think you have an aftermarket exhaust as the tip is a different shape.

Yeah it is. The previous owner (guy on here) has put a Longlife Stainless Steel one on. Complete replacement including the flexipipe at the front. He went for the 500 style oval tip (his personal preference). Oddly, the hole for the exhaust in the rear bumper was already that shape?

I quite like it! :)

Yeah, splott is a running thing with GF. she worked in cardiff for a while and we drove through splott to get to Boulders. Then a small character we created in GW2 got named splott.... and as the car is small and dinky, its now also been named splott too. Partly because the plate says CP07.... which could be read as SPOT. which is close to splot. hahaha... tenuous much?

Swapped back to the custom air filter. Doesn't change performance but sounds ace!

Proper little growl when over 3k revs, yet sounds stock when bumbling round in traffic.

Interesting info from insurance company though. I phoned up to declare some mods, and as you would expect they wanted to increase my premium. Buuuut..... it came out that the additional premium was to cover the replacement of the mods, not because the car wasn't stock. In the event of a crash the insurance is still completely valid, its just that I wouldn't be able to claim for the additional cost of the aftermarket exhaust etc etc.

I thought not declaring would invalidate the insurance, but it appears it doesn't. Well... none performance mods I guess. And even though I haven't paid the premium the mods are now on my record, so I guess I can fall back onto that if they decide to change their minds...

Out of interest, who are you insured with? I gave Admiral's policy and modification documents a read and came to the same conclusion that your insurance company told you; the car is still insured, but will only be repaired to factory standard in the event of a claim.

Great pics, whats interesting about that pipe is its the same diameter as the throttle intake all the way to just before the air filter, having just spent way to much time measuring the original pipe to do a silicone version the original only starts to reduce once it goes into the final elbow to the intake! See thats why you want me on your pub quiz team for random facts like that! ;)
Out of interested the connection for the breather was it just a bit of pipe to connect the two pipe??

Yeah, I guess that is interesting..... haha (y)

and yeah, there is a metal connection pipe between the two.

So anything that's not a performance modification doesn't invalidate your policy, even undeclared?

Wouldn't like to say as I'm not 100% sure. But it certainly seemed that way. They guy I spoke to didn't sound of UK origin so I was finding it difficult to clarify that point.

I would imagine, mods that enhance the performance or are 'removable' by unsavoury types, may actually change things as the car will become a greater risk. I made clear that the air filter and exhaust were non standard parts, but they were just standard wear and tear replacement long life parts. Which they are. I added the parking sensors too as i noticed they were in the list.

You gotta think, most cars on the road would invalidate their insurance if they wanted genuine stock parts to be used throughout. Just doesn't happen.
