Hi all,

My car is slightly lumpy at idle - I could spend a tenner extra across my next two tanks of fuel, filling it with vpower nitro instead of 95 bog standard - do you guys think it will make any difference?

Car was serviced last week, had new plugs and HT leads fitted so I assume the ignition system is good.

Where do you normally fill up? Just sounds like rubbish Tesco / supermarket fuel to me.

Regular BP or Shell fuel might be enough

Do you have aircon? Mine's struggling in this weather... might be the cause.

It shouldn't, sounds like rubbish fuel. Its lumpy, AC wouldn't cause this, you're not thinking of when it dips as the compressor kicks in are you?

No Aircon, original active spec (Y),

Its had esso fuel in it for the last 6ish months (up to about 3 tanks ago). Its had 2 tanks of shell, and a tank of BP in it now. I thought it was running very sweetly this evening in all honesty, rev happy little engine.

Yes, I think the Esso fuel may have been the cause, think ill stick with BP for the next few tanks, see what happens ,
