Off Topic Why hasn't my 100hp Sold?

The Panda has sold and to put it in the most honest words possible;

My god, do I miss it. It's gone to a fellow enthusiast so that's all I could have wanted.

Ahh, 9 months of really fun and great motoring - hasn't missed a beat, not once!

I would like to thank you all for your advice in this thread, I eventually found the right owner.

Panda has arrived safely home after a long drive. Was much better on the motorway than I expected. Certainly better than I remember my Seicento... Does need to be pointed at corners for the extra-wide grin factor however! :D

Many thanks to Rob - the car has been kept immaculately and parking it next to our Audi on the drive which is the same age it really shows! Panel work and seats/carpets were all beautifully clean.

Only a couple of things I need to attend to, the rear box is blowing very slightly and there is the not-uncommon 'FIAT clonk' from the rear over bumps at low speed which could do with checking out.

All in all, a superb car and I am delighted with it. I suspect the reason it took a while to sell is simply that Rob lives in the middle of nowhere! :)

Very happy to be a FIAT owner again! My first car was an 'old-style' Panda which was brilliant and my second a Seicento. Definately a warm and fuzzy nostalgia feeling with this one. Promise to take good care of her Rob!

Just don't visit the classic panda section unless you want to end up with one on the drive too ;)

That's the first thing I found on the way home from collecting it myself 9 months ago, It is remarkably good on the motorway! :D

I'm glad you're happy with it Steve, thank you for bringing back my wallet and keys (y) (for anyone not in the know, I left them in the car as he drove off )

I never quite realised how nice the Raggazon mid pipe sounded until you drove off in it

Get some pictures up of it on here if you get a bit of time, id love to know what that knocking sound turns out to be.

Will do. Suspect one or all of the rear bushes/dampers/bump stops are the likely culprit of the curious knocking. Will get it looked at when it goes in for the cam belt. Dampers look like an easy DIY job. Konis are tempting....

Knocking now fixed! Turned out it was the dampers & bushes, got them changed today at the same time as the cam belt.

Washed it last weekend and Fiat washed it today but didn't do a great job of it so will do it again tomorrow or Sunday! Then a decent run on Monday planned.

Pondering doing the £30 induction/airbox mod as discussed on the forum. Sounds great as it is but for 30 quid it has to be worth doing surely!?

Hi Bobbair and welcome! The £30 induction mod is well worth doing since I done it I have loved it just for the grin factor alone is worth it! Only down side is your MPG will go down as you will be wanting to hearing the induction roar!! (y)

I have that anyway as the Raggazon mid-pipe encourages you to open it up at every opportunity!

Think I will get the bits and have a crack next week. Presume that it can be easily reversed if need be? (i.e. you dont have to chop up any of the existing bits to do it?)

Na I designed it so you just pull out the original pipe which can be refitted no back no problem!
Just a quick one on the exhaust does it still have the cat fitted?? As looking at getting a mid pipe but dont want to remove the cat (for MOT's and the like) just working out what system will be the best. :D

There's quite a good review of the 100HP 2nd hand. They list a number of potential faults that I've not had on my MJ, such as wiper failure
