Ok Just got a 08 plate 1.2 dynamic 44k on clock for the wife (traded in my 53 Mondeo Zetec S with full ss exhaust including stealth decat! as her milage has gone from 20k to 3k, i'll get her slightly newer Ghia X estate) The panda has 10 months MOT but the exhaust probably won't make more than a few more months at most, rusted to crap all over, not just back box, but not blowing yet so passed.

I will probably get a K&N filter but wondered if there are many bespoke exhaust options that make any difference to MPG, performance or smoothness of drive. Not into anything loud though. How much is a standard replacement cat back system fitted. Just read an old thread that the exhaust back boxes peel as mine is doing, is it best o peel it off when its almost there or leave it flapping?

Also are there any commonly used headlight bulb upgrades as the wifes night vision is crap and she's used to Xenon Headlights?

Would like some alloys but the aftermarket seems very expensive for small rims (Had 18" rims before and not much more expensive) and don't seem to be many standard used ones out there, any other makes or models that fit that are easier to find second hand?

Don't know much about exhausts I'm afraid, but as the panda has H4 hi/low headlights I highly recommend Osram Nightbreaker's I have used them on my motorbike and seicento and will certainly be using them when I get my new panda hopefully next week.

They are fully road legal and claim to be 90% brighter than oem bulbs and in my experience they are very bright and make night driving a lot safer in my opinion.

Hi,
the exhaust are designed to peel BUT will go through eventually,
our '04 1.1 is still on its original mid pipe ( really scabby) and front end,
just fitted it's 3rd rear box, but they are sub£40 delivered so no real issue,

ALLOYS , virtually ALL fiat wheels will fit ( except GP - 2006-on Punto),
Mk2 PUNTO 2000 to 2005 will be the most common to look for,
Charlie

thanks for the responses, weird to design a back box to peel. never had a back box corrode badly before, usually big diesels, always go at the junction just behind.

Will start looking for alloys as as usual dealer brought car has ditch finder tyres on currently.

It's only models destined for salty markets that have these, different but not strange, makes perfect sense as always protects the inner skin until the outer has gone completely meaning the box lasts longer :)
