Hi, I'm calling on the good graces of any owner of a 2004 1.1 pre modification Panda, I'm replacing the cat on my daughters car and disconnected both lambda sensors before I noticed that the plugs are identical, I now have no idea which sensor goes to which plug.

I am currently waiting for the new cat to be delivered, so I hoped to sort out the wiring before I have to rebuild the car. If someone could tell me which plug goes to which sensor they would severely save my blushes, if you could tell me either using the wiring colours or even the fact that one plug lead is shorter than the other that would be a massive help.

Thanks

Thanks I tried the E-learn but it just won't work on my computer.

Is anyone able to assist with this, I've tried google and Haynes without any luck.:bang:

Thanks

Stuart.

This is from an old copy of elearn - use it at your own risk!

If there are any markings on the connectors, the front is K18 & the rear is K17.

See attached diagrams (which both look very similar to me).

I've also attached a wiring diagram for the front of the car.

I can go look at my own 1.2 but it is a 2010 Eco model & may be different.

Good luck

John

Not sure how much help this will be, but I've looked in the workshop manual and it says the front sensor is plugged into connector K18, and the rear one is plugged into K17.

The colours for K18 are Z, A, BZ, MR and the colours for K17 are B, LG, NZ, MR. The problem is I can't find the abreviations for the colours. You may be able to work it from that though. :)

Thank very much ,I'll work through these and will let you know how I get on .

Thanks to everyone for their help, the colour codes did the trick and the car is now back on the road with it's new pipework and should be ready for it's MOT.

Thanks

Hi, just an update, the MOT was passed with no advisories, although my mechanic suggested I take a look at the rear brakes, which is the only part of my daughters Panda that I haven't touched so far.

In answer to a question , yes I had to disturb the exhaust manifold as the catalytic converter is integrated with the exhaust manifold and the downpipe, it's all one very expensive part.

Thanks again for the help and support.

Stuart.
