I've found some ronal turbo's they fit a 500 and therefore I would assume ok on the panda?

Thoughts?

Cheers

It's not a foregone conclusion - there are significant variations between the 60hp FIRE fitted to most 1.2 Pandas & the 69hp FIRE in the 500 - the intakes & compression ratios are different for starters.

I'd guess it could probably be made to work, but it won't be plug & play & the mapping will certainly need to be changed.

Doh....:nutter::nutter::nutter::bang::bang:

Now I'm laughing with you :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

You just might want to have a look at this thread from the 500 section before committing yourself. It's very relevant - this started out with the fitting of some aftermarket wheels... just keep reading...

It is the wheels, if I was going to turbo it, I'd drop the 1.4 turbo in instead!

J R Kitching - I am staggered that you have not mentioned the de-merits of placing fatter wheels/tyres on someone's 1.2 Panda.

From a chap who wears greased pram wheels on his motor to eke out that last drop of petrol, this is an incredible oversight. Shame on you.

By the way - I was actually thinking the guy was fitting two turbochargers. Had my eyes shut trying to think how that'd work in the Panda bay.

That thread suggest several different answers, before descending in to silliness....

My question was however if the fit and offset is fine for the 500 will it be ok on the panda? I think it should be as 500 wheels do fit on the panda.

Face palm on that one

If it's any help, the brake assemblies on my 1.2 500 & Panda are the same, though I can't speak for the body clearance. I'd say it should work, but have a fall back position just in case it doesn't.

I've a 100HP

It's in the pic

I'm not having a good day, am I.

If the wheels will fit a 1.4 500, I'd have thought you'd be good to go. But I'd still want to be buying them on a 'sale or return' basis.

It could also be worth you posting in the 500 section; there are folks there who know a lot more about which wheels fit what than I do.

These are the alloys btw

its very easy to work it out if the wheels gonna fit or not. U ll need all the new wheels dimensions. I take it they r 15"/7J rims with 4x100 stud, what off set of them?

Hi Demi,

The can be any offset from 28 to 35

What offset is the panda 100hp

They are 15's 7J

I'm also considering borbet A's in same fitment

Hello dude,

I have just fitted Lenso BSX on mine, size is 15 x 7j with 195 45 15 tyres and the clear everything fine, I looked at those wheels but didn't want to run the 100pcd with wobbler bolts.
The Lenso's I got have a pcd of 98 and the offset was 30 (offset for the 100hp is 30) the central bore hole was 73 so I have to run a spigot rings.
On fitting the mounting face of the wheel was to big and touched the front caliper so a 1cm spacer was fitted (now with a built in spigot ring that converts the 73 to 51 within the spacer) the garage I took it to to get everything fitted had to trim down the locking wheel nuts which was provided in the kit ( looks like the guy in the other link had this issue) to make them fit.
Done well they will look great done wrongly they can be dangerous measure twice and double check. Got mine from rimstyle also and talking everything through with the guys there really helped, they gave me the spacers, locking wheel nuts, and spigots for free and they learnt a lot from it also, mainly it's a pain :p

There, this should help u understand how wheel fitting works. If u get wheels with ET 40 - u will need to increase the size of the wheel spacers to bring wheel out. If ET 30 then no spacers needed as the drum side wont be longer than ur stock rims (-/+ 1-2 mm)

get mesurment from flat of the back of the rim that goes on the hub, out to the back of the spokes then same to the brake caliper to see if new rim will clear or if u ll need spacers too, but if u go for 5mm spacers on 7J's I'm 99% sure they will clear calipers

if I'm wrong, u r welcome to correct me. :D

Hope this helps buddy! (y)

My 7j's would of fitted without a spacer if the mounting face was smaller, as they are a standard spec wheel the company take a blank wheel and drill the pcd to your spec hence why the face was so big as it has to cover all makes of car
Also it depends on the design of wheel But to be honest the 1cm spacers do make them sit a lot better so its a win win (y) but it is a mine field hence why not a lot of people change there wheels.
