Sorry your point being?
OP posts pictures of modifications which invalidate insurance.
OP states he knows modifications invalidate insurance. Doesn't care.

OP is perfectly safe doing this as absolutely no one in the insurance industry or police ever looks at the internet.

Basically I'm questioning the wisdom of the OP through the medium of sarcasm.

You may break the speed limit occasionally, like you say we all do, but that's not going to invalidate your insurance and potentially cause someone massive financial loss.

I may not have been tactful in the way I posted, but most regulars will know its how I normally post and that its nothing against just the OP because they're new. My response would have been similar for anyone else.

Just making clear how serious what the OP is doing really is as its not dissimilar to going out drink or drug driving, or just plan driving without insurance, such a blasé attitude which is clearly anti social don't really warrant a tip toe around response really. We're all grown ups.

I totally agree with you i would be pissed if someone hit me and wasnt insured and im not trying to justify his actions or attitude.
some people need to just take a step back sometimes before they go steaming in and start quoting rights and wrongs. Just like having invalid insurance breaking the speed limit is breaking the law and just because you are insured doesnt mean that persons family you may kill driving 40mph in 30mph is going to feel any better like i said what hes doing it wrong and it makes it worse by fact hes knowingly doing it but just remeber we all knowingly do things we shouldnt at times on the road .

that posting about your illegal activities on a public forum with photographic evidence which also enables you to be identified and found may have consequences different to those you intended when making the post.

Sorry think yourself and geddes misunderstood allow me to elaborate wasnt questioning the fact he rather stupidly posted pictures online questioning the fact that it seemed to suggest its ok to do it if you dont put the pictures on internet .

Of course it isn't, but one can always appreciate a criminal fail :p

I was a bit surprised that putting sticky backed plastic on your bonnet invalidated your insurance but it seems to be an accurate indicator after all.

There are plenty other mods u can do to the car that are not illegal and if the insurance still not happy u can always move to a specialist insurance group. If u still want hids u can always retro fit them into ur stock headlights (what I'm doing atm) or buy an aftermarket hid headlights for panda. With fogs I'm pretty sure if u dim them with pint film they wont fail ur MOT.

Thanks ill think about it but it comes down to money and your lights look exspencive as do most of the other mods on hear lol I'm 40 not thirty but just thought I'd o some mods for the first time in my life lol but I'm not worried ill keep it standard for now but I'm curious about if you change the brakes for better one and you stop quicker does that make the insurance cheaper I bet not but I'm just being picky

Wont make insurance cheaper. For 1 fact alone. You replacing cheap stock (anything) for more expensive part, therefor increasing the value of the car and increasing the risk of thieves noticing ur car... hence the insurance going up. If u want to reduce ur insurance take up one of the gold advance driving courses run by ex cops. Will reduce ur insurance up to 25% but, check first as not all insurance groups accept that.

Good decision Fastbikesr6!!

I used to ride a street triple and Bennets insurance published a list of what they considered " Mods". The list included stickers, crash bungs, non dealer supplied bulbs!!
The triumph forum figured that absolutely none of the riders with Bennets at the time actually had cover as all bikers add these safety devises as a matter of course.

fair play. also a good thing you checked with the insurance as I know many who will mod their car without even thinking about telling the insurance company. properly recommend Silver Vision indicator bulbs to tidy up the front end though. it's only £15ish but a massive improvement.
