Hey I have a 2006 Panda 1.2...
Bought the car 2 months ago, came with a 6 month warranty.

Its had a few things done by the renault garage where I bought it under warranty. Driven the car today and at normal speeds, there seems to be a light squeaking noise coming from the front drivers side when the car is moving. Noise I dont think is there when its wet.
The car had a rear drivers side wheel bearing replaced yesterday.
Fiat said the brake pedal had "excessive travel" as a result of their multi point check, so Im wondering if its something to do with that. The pads are only around 10% worn on the front, however.
Im within my rights to take it back to renault to sort it out, but I've been there a few times to sort out the little things that needed doing to the car. The car has had its shocks and springs tested by renault who said they were fine.
Anyone have any ideas what the noise could be?
Cheers

Have a check around the engine mounts and look for any excessive movement of the engine, mine was squeaking a bit at low speed, and eventually it apparently sheared a mount off the subframe. Ive only had it back a few days after they replaced the frame under warranty (luckily) but so far so good... Probably not the same issue but may be worth checking out

If the squeak is rotational, with the wheel, this would normally point at wheel bearing, brake pads rubbing, CV joint gaiter rubbing, or something similar.
If the squeak is with the movement of the car, this suggests suspension mountings, subframe mountings, or engine mountings as suggested above.
Make sure you are looking at the correct end of the car, squeaks and other noises can sometimes be at the opposite end to what you first think.

Does the sound disappear when you brake or turn? If so, it could be brake dust that needs removed from the brake disks - or that was what the garage said to explain an extra cost at the last service (n)

Hi there,
I have the same problem with my newly bought used Panda 1,2 from 2009 (model 2004) and it is driving me nuts. I bought it with 1/2 year warrenty, and it has already been at the shop once, where they said they had fixed it, and that it was spill from the pava, it had just been given. But now the problem have reaccured.
The noise only occure when I drive over even a sligt bump on the road, so I am thinking wheel bearing or suspension mountings, but I have never owned a car before, so what do I know?
Another issuse is that when I hit 65 km/h, the car starts shaking a bit. Do you have any idea about wahat that can be? The shop says, that it is just something that I have to accept because it is a matter of car model, but I find that hard to believe. What do you think?

My 09 Panda 1.1 squeaks/whistles slightly from the front drivers side wheel. I eventually tracked it down to a lump of balancing lead pushing the wheel trim out slightly so that it catches the wind and vibrates at certain speeds. Its worth making sure your trim fits flush to the wheel.

Nonsense. The car should not vibrate or shake. This is probably wheel balance, but this usually makes itself felt around 50-60mph (80-100km/h) Get them to rebalance the front wheels.
