Hi All

Apart from spending over £200 for a key - this makes Mini and Land Rover look cheap, are there any less expensive ways of replacing a lost key? The car is a 2007 Panda 100hp and we have a remote key but no longer the basic one. Somewhere in the house but it's not showing up!

Cheers

Ade

I have the same problem only my 2 year old son put my key in the rubbish!!
Fiat want £300 for a new key.

There was no chip in my remote when I got my Panda  so I had a re-chip for my remote by Timpson's and have had no problems with it. £30 for the chip with coding and writing to the cars ECU.

I don't doubt they can cut their keys too, but I didn't need that - price was £45 last June with all needed coding - yes they need the car too..

You need to find a level 1 or 2 dealer for a non remote key - just ring and ask. (y)

Make sure they have your other keys when they program the new chip in or it will no longer work - be sure to check old and new keys work after they made a key - whoever dose it as I don't think they can program the key in after its been knocked off. ;)

have you got the CODE card - with key chip number..,

Timpsons apparently do a good basic Key for £40 BUT you need the car at their shop,
Charlie

The UK insurance prevented key code card being supplied with car, but it's not needed by Timpsone I believe. Can't be sue if I gave them the 5 digit tap code (gets around imobiliser) which I purchased off FIAT  but timpsons don't expect you to have it IIR.
