On the way home this eve I came round a fast sweeping bend and a deer leapt out in front of me.
Hit the brakes but it was too close and I whacked it on the rear quarters with the front drivers side bumper.
It disappeared into the woods but left its mark on the car



Any recommendations for getting a replacement?

Bad luck hitting the dear, must have scared the life out of you. Have a look on the bay, they turn up now and again. There was half of one on there the other day.

Yeah it scared the hell out of me as it was soooo close when it leapt out.
I have found a company that can supply a new bumper painted and delivered for £183.

I popped the bonnet last night as I noticed the indicator bulb was missing.
One of the retainer lugs had snapped and was inside the light unit, so the bulb had popped back inside the case.

The mounting bracket on the top of the headlight unit has snapped so the headlight was sitting slightly lower and the pattern was askew.

av u got that company name / website ? I need new one and that price is very acceptable !!

The ones in my link come ready painted - the colour is fawn, I believe .

On a more serious note, it's a huge problem - have a read of this.

According to that website, there are up to 74,000 deer related traffic accidents in the UK each year.

I phoned the Ebay seller for the bumper today to check it would fit the 100HP.

He was not impressed that Ebay has added the generic data to the listing for car compatability.
He confirmed as suspected that it would be no good at all for 100HP.

However, he knows a local fiat dealership and says he may be able to get a trade discount on one for me, then spray it up for same cost, so I am waiting on a call back with a price.

I suspect you'll need a new inner wing as well and possibly a sump fairing - I hit a pheasant almost exactly four years ago when my 100HP was only a few months old - search for pheasant and you'll pick up the thread. It was an insurance job but I believe the total cost was over 800 pounds.
