I bought a fiat panda dynamic about a year ago and have been wondering if the car has remote locking as i only have one key for it. It is on an 53 plate and was just wondering if should have this as it is the dynamic.

Yes it would have come origional with a remote key. It is only the Active model which didn't have remote central locking

Ok thanks do you have any idea on the sort of price it would be to get a remote key that will unlock and start the car.

hi ,
having 1 key - I assume you don't have the FIAT KEYCARD either?

with the KEYCARD ( number from it) you could get it all done for £40 - £50,

guessing you don't ;
cheapest is to buy a remote key from ebay and get a competent locksmith to cut it to suit your locks and reprogramme a new key chip to your car = budget £80 - £150 for this..,

no i only have the non remote key. I thought i red that the panda has a system where the immobilising code changes so a normal key coding will not work?

I thought it would be in that price bracket if not more

I've yet to see someone successfully have a key coded and programmed to fully function from anyone other than Fiat.

It you want a key which would work as it would have originally from new you're looking at £160-£200 from your local dealer.

Not according to their website, can only do none remote.

Come and see my key - OK it's just the immobilizer chip as there was nothing wrong with the buttons...

I believe Timpsons level 1 dealer can do a remote copy it but it isn't cheep - which is perhaps why no one admits to paying it.

But it would be a pain getting in the passengers side first with no remote - FIAT forgot to put a lock on that side

you don't get the key card in the UK, but you can buy the code from fiat delaler - but I don't think you need it.
