General Panda Cross-What's It Worth?

General Panda Cross-What's It Worth?

An update.
I found the Duster an absolute delight to drive.
The dealer offered £6,200 as a trade-in for the Cross which I thought was fair. For various reasons I don't want the hassle of a private sale (sorry, Trevor from Whitby)!
Au revoir Panda in 7-10 days, but I may be back on this forum!

Maybe you could let Trevor know the name of the Renault dealer and he could see if they will trade it straight out to him? Just a thought?

Evans Halshaw in Sunderland, Trevor but the car won't be there for 7-10 days as my number plate needs to be transferred.

My Duster for those who are interested.

A duster with a dusting of snow. I actually think they look the best with steel wheels and black bumpers. They do a panda 4x4 in mainland Europe like that.

I wish they would in the uk instead of making us pay top dollar.

You won't see any UK market Dusters with black bumpers, all the base model (Access) vehicles are being imported with body colour bumpers, which means white bumpers as that's the only colour available. My car in the picture is an Access model and has steel wheels. I think it looks great.
Dacia have been caught out by the high number of orders for Access models compared to higher spec cars.

My 4x4 is rocking some black steelies at the moment and I have to say I think it looks pretty cool. Be sure to post more photos of your Dacia Chris :)

306maxi - let's see the Panda on Steelies then.........they always look good on the continent.

And I'll just drift off topic again - just seen the new Dacia advert on Autoexpress.

1. Nice pisstake of Top gear style reportage in the middle

2. It's pronounced Dat-cher. I've been pronouncing it Day-seer all these years! I wonder if they'll just give up and Anglicize the pronunciation like Hyundai (huh-yun-day) did.

Good luck with Daewoo, sorry Dacia DrChris :)

I think I would miss those funky looks of the cross compared to the anonymous looks of the duster :(

I'm not really in a position to say too much though having previously owned a Hyundai i20

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

I'm still erring towards the petrol 4x4.......

Nice yellow one in Wales with climate and roof..

Many thanks! - I was looking on Autotrader.

Yes, it is pricey, but they all are, and at least this one's got low mileage and a good spec.

But could I live with that colour?!! My DS3 is a proper yellow, as is the "new" Fiat yellow. The old, washed-out, weak-and-runny-custard yellow is pants in comparison!

Obviously there's a premium to pay for the mileage & condition, but I'd put that one at £5k tops. Still, at the end of the day, it'll sell for what someone's prepared to pay for it.[/QUOTE]

I don't think anything on Parkers price guides are relevant - they don't understand niche and make judgements based on averages - just as Vebra do when estate agents price houses. Parkers is OK to price up a Ford, but something thisrare and specialised is unlikely to hodl water in terms of price estimates.

Is it worth £7k at six years old? As you say, depends if someone pays. The time of year plays the biggest part - especially now. It's hard not to get caught up it all.

Cold, hard logic says we should all sit it out until April or later and see what happens to the residuals when the new 4x4 comes on-stream.

This!

By contrast, there's an 08 reg with lowish mileage (in beige, unfortunately), up for £4995. Still on the pricey side, but if supply on the new 4x4/Trekkings is good, and they get discounted like other Pandas are being discounted, the 2nd-hand prices of late-reg old-model 4x4s should take a tumble over the next 12 months.
