No there isn't, as there was only one 'facelift' in the 90's with a revised grille and that was about it!

Yes - I've seen Fiat refer to the latest model as third generation but pedants will have their say/way/day.

Errrr, don't mix generation and mk's.

3 Generations
4 mk's.

Its as simple as that.

Mk1 and mk2 Panda's look very similar but are completely different cars. The mk3 Panda and 500 share more parts in compatibility than a mk1 and 2 Panda!

Always take what you read in Wiki with a pinch of salt, any mupet can change it, as they have despite me and others correcting it time and time again.

Well I hate ugly square Pandas so I love the new one, inside and out. Even tempted to see if I can finance one, shhhhh don't tell the Panda folk whose cars I've insulted occasionally lol

Have to say I don't see the appeal of the Mk 1 and 2 Panda's either, but each to their own and all that :) I like my Mk3 and may have a Mk4 one day :)

I have never understood the 70 mph if your lucky from the earlier versions. The new panda looks smoother and classier to me but what do I know as I also own the HHR Rover which is smoother and more rounded than the previous model

Never having driven one of the earlier models I may be missing something of course

We had a 2wd Mk1 and two 4wd Mk2s, so never had the benefit of the coil-sprung/Lancia Y10 rear end of the 2wd Mk2. They were a straightforward, simple, honest design, very practical but on the crude side. Bodywork was the last of the really tinny Fiats. We had the twin sunroof (an option?) on the 4wds - great. We took a Mk2 to Italy a few times and it was just bearable for that trip but we were 20+ years younger at the time. In general they still managed to be sufficiently charming to appeal, though our son had a 2wd Mk2 and that was less attractive for some reason.

No-one refers to those as separate models Wiki etc.
Wiki does refer to them though  but Wiki isn't the be all and end all, far from it.

First generation (1980–2003) Panda Mk1 & Mk2

Second generation (2003–2012) Panda Mk3

Third generation (2011–present) Panda Mk4

That has always been the way I have known it, it is the way the forum shows it - it isn't about being a pedant when something is correct :)
