Hi, I need a rev counter on my cooking 1.1 Panda & i see the sporty versions have one. The instruments appear to be the same physical size.
Does anyone know if the two instrument clusters are interchangeable & will the rev counter work afterwards?
I should add that I have asked 2 x FIAT dealers & their 'Technical Help'. I now assume they are all comedians at FIAT but unable to read a wiring diagram.
Thanks, Brian

Hearing faulty so don't know what engine is doing. It's either fix me or fix car.
What's your specialism? FIAT agents are so funny they should be on the telly.
Thanks for response, 90% sure is better than 'Dunno mate' & 'Why don't you go away' from FIAT.

Would be easier to upgrade to a 1.2 I think, rather than rip the clocks out. I have often wished for a tacho in my 1.1, (curiosity only) and looked into the same thing you have (somewhere on this forum).

The only solution that was found that wasn't labour intensive was a gadget that plugged into the OBDII port, and showed a value for current RPM, was over £100 though, if I remember correctly. In the end, I ended up crunching numbers based on road speed and current gear (ratios are online somewhere) to calculate the engine speed at different speeds.

Seem to remember that the car can nearly/reach V-Max in 3rd, due to gearing, however this may just have been some internet BS I read whilst researching.
