Hello all,
had my 2007 multijet since last November. In the past few Weeks, I've had the engine warning light on 3 times, but then it's reset after a few hours, so The first couple of times i ignored it. both times seemed to be linked to me using the wrong gear, but the third instance was this morning when i pulled away fast from a junction (again, being in lower gear might explain this.)
Just getting a little worried that there might. be something wrong. Especially as Im taking it down south for a Week of touring.

Any suggestions/advice? Thanks!

Buy a code reader for about a tenner off ebay and download Fiatecu software from here. Could be many things causing the light. Chief suspect would be the EGR but don't get fixated on this without a code or codes.

Thanks Popshot,

I had a look on ebay for code readers, but decided to wait until I get back from my hols (I go on Wednesday for a week) - Trusting that the car will be ok! Warning light didn't come back on once I started home from work last night anyway, plus I wouldn't be able to get the reader in time before leaving.

Ethan260908 - I'm no expert, but it looks like you're talking about a reader that you need to plug a laptop to - best of luck with that one, but I'll need one with a read-out
