I think something fell into the tracks of the sunroof yesterday as I left the car with the sunroof opened in the vent position as it was extremely hot and my aircon is not working either (too expensive to fix now). Something might have fallen inside the tracks as when I tried to open the sunroof fully, there was noise like the sunroof is trying hard but cannot move as there is something in the way.
It should be easy to remove a bit of something if it feel there but how to remove the glass panel? Any ideas, what tools I need and how to do it? The sunroof still opens to the vent position, but when I push the button again, nothing happens any more.

Have you tried opening it using the cranked Allen key instead of the motor? (Should be in the boot with the jack etc, and goes into the end of the motor, accessed via a plastic cover in the headlining) This may give you more control? Suspect that to remove the glass, you need to have the roof fully open, to access the screws between the glass and the metal frame:-(

Thank you, I will tell my more technical friend who offered to fix the problem. He saw some videos on youtube how to remove the sunroof and seemed simple to him, so I will tell him what you said.
