The recent service of my panda has identified a potential problem with nearside track rod end (they did not specify if it was outer, which I assume it is, or inner) - the garage is asking quite a bit of money to replace it.

I think I could do this myself, so would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction as to where to buy a track rod end for Panda 1.3 Multijet.

Any advice on price / quality (and any tricks and tips regarding the actual procedure) would be appreciated.

Bought my rod ends from Fiat. Not sure but £22 or so each rings a bell. Much cheaper elsewhere though.

Simple task to do with only two nuts to undo. Ensure the lock nut at the rack end stays still to keep a rudimentary alignment. You will need to jack the taper into the arm to get the thing to lock up enough so the nut doesn't spin the taper. You will need to get the tracking checked when done.
