My 2009 Panda Dualogic came back from its annual service today and they've done something to the AC/heat system. It was set so that if I hit "auto" it would come on to whatever temperature I had it set to last (usually 23 degrees - yes, I know - I'm always cold!). But now the little snowflake comes on when I hit "auto" and while the gauge still reads 23 degrees, it's only blowing cold air. The manual is no help, as its diagram is for a different model (ie, not Dualogic) so their "turn the knob to the red dot" advice is useless; there IS no knob.

Can anyone help? Have the garage reset something that I then need to re-reset? If so, how? I downloaded the Dualogic handbook supplement but it doesn't have any info about the AC/heating system.

I saw a couple of other threads about this problem and there's talk of "bleeding" the system but I have no idea how to do that.

It's not Dualogic specific it's the auto climate control as fitted to all Eleganza's.

Sounds like there is nothing wrong with it, it's been very hot recently so it'll always blow ice cold if the internal cabin temp is higher than the set temperature. (y)

If not, I recently had a problem with it myself.

Turned out that the actuator on the heater box (looking from near the pedals)
wasnt turning the drum/flap inside to choose between hot and cold.

All the digital buttons and controls were doing as they should. But the actuator couldnt actually turn it to warm

This was because the spigot on the end of the flap had fractured off.

I luckily managed to repair mine to better than original condition. but didnt get pics due to being in a rush and needing the car everyday... Pics wasnt my priority...

A new heater box is £980 ish +vat not inc fitting

and to get it out is a doors off, dash and seats out job....(so ive been told on this forum)

Oh and saying that, If the polen filter was on that service, Thats very near the actuator that caused my trouble. Chance the mechanic smacked it while pulling off the filter cover?

if you turn the car on, turn the heater on and select between totally hot, and totally cold. while holding the actuator with one hand.
You can feel if its working.

If you feel it is working (buzzing). Then undo the two screws holding it on and pull it off.

There should be a splined shaft coming out of the heater and into the actuator. Mine had come off...

the actuator is a small black plastic thing. With some wires plugged into one end and a white plastic half cog..

remember its on the drivers side,... (RHD)
