Looking around at 100hps on AutoTrader, and it seems to be impossible to find one with the speaker upgrade. Were they barely ordered with it?

Or, are dealers looking in the boot for the sub, not under the seat, and assuming their car hasn't got it?

You could just buy a normal 100HP & upgrade the speakers yourself, :Dremember to use some Dynamat as this gives you and your car better sound, more music, more bass. All you do is peel-and-stick Dynamat to your interior body panels to greatly reduce buzzes, rattles and vibrations.

I could, but then I'd have to arse around ripping it apart right away, and insure it as modified.

People on here with the upgrade say it sounds great, much better than the standard speakers.

Adding dyna mat won't affect your insurance, my panda has the upgrade and could be for sale. Plus skydome and side airbags. I'd even throw in the roof bars.:)

You would, but they didn't...!

Oh, did you mean you ordered the car new with the sub, not the car you bought second hand was originally ordered with it... and despite that the dealers you had it from brand new didn't know? ::ROFLMAO::

Before anyone says it, I know there are more important considerations than the stereo - properly serviced, in good condition, clean HPI check, two keys etc. It'd be nice to have the stereo too, though. EBD would be nice, but probably only because I wouldn't want a blank button :p

gtidriver: Herne Bay is way too far, plus my mum has a white Panda. If I parked at home she would come out of the front door and ram her key into the first white Panda she found, despite the alloys, tints, painted handles and mirrors etc :p

There are a few New Orleans Blue I've got my eye on, which I fancy more than white anyway, plus the paint name has a funny acronym :D

What's the one that uses the otherwise blank button then? Top right one in the cluster with the button for the hazards (my mum's has two blanks due to having no front fogs).

Maybe EBD is standard in some regions but not the UK?

EBD is standard in the UK - your refering to ASR (y)

EBD is standard on all Pandas, it's part of the ABS system.

And ASR really isn't something you should be worried about, unless it's tied to the ESP somehow? ESP is useful, ASR isn't really.

Anti-spin is only useful if you treat the throttle as an on/off-switch.

Ah, i was getting terms mixed up, the second post here explains things well.

ASR - just let up on the throttle if you're spinning?
Maybe more noticable on a Cinq, the lack of power steering makes you notice it's suddenly too light.

ESP doesn't seem like a bad idea tbh, enthusiastic driving yes but surely no one wants to ever go sideways into other traffic, street furniture or worse (people). Shame hardly any 100hp seem to have been specced with this either.

Any reason other than cost - does it really spoil the driving a bit the way a few people claim?
Well, to be fair, I needed a car quickly and they already had a car in stock, which I took.

I have been driving since 1989 - and my last few cars have had ESP on [Stilo Abarth, Fiat Ulysse] - but for the Panda, with it only being a 1.4 as well, I prefer to be more in control of the car and have had no issues since 2007!

In 2010 the 100HP came with the speaker upgrade as standard but the CD changer disappeared. The only option I went for was the pandemonium pack. I wasnt interested in ESP,side air bags or skydome. And yes the system sounds fantastic but only after its been set up properly.

I had seen a 2010 on AutoTrader for £6,000, quite close by too.

It was sold a couple of weeks ago, then it pulled up next to me at the local Morrisons this weekend

Not sure if I'd want the giant mirrors, though.
