Afternoon all. I drove back from Paris on Thursday and the driver side headlight bulb failed. Just got around to changing the bulb and it has exploded inside of the head light. I've put a small Hoover attachment in the bulb slot and tried to Hoover out as much of the glass as I can but the seams to be a load of dust that I can't get to. How easy isit to remove the head light?im assuming it's a bumper off and a full strip down of most of the front of the car.

I had one explode inside the drivers headlight unit on Sisters mk3 not long after getting it in 2009. Never got all the glass out.

To remove the headlight unit you are indeed correct that the bumper needs to be removed

I had to change the headlight units for other reasons, but not sure if I could have removed the glass by turning the unit up sidedown or not.

I might get an airline in there and have a blast.
