I want to upgrade my side / parking bulbs for brighter ones, what is the code or part number so I can fit Xenon Bulbs.

If your car is an Eleganza with the multi-function dash, you'll get Lights-Out alarms if you fit nice LED versions. These cars are more sensitive to bulb swaps thaan the Dynamic or Active versions. I have one of each and know that Dynamic-spec CANBUS will not whinge...

.... but if you buy the CAN-safe version (whiich just adds a resistor into the circuit) you'll be fine.

Does the dynamic without the multi function configurable screen also have bulb failure warning also

I know the Active doesn't.

Not on my 4x4 - lovely bright technical LEDs go straight in and work a treat. Try the same on the Eleganza and it warning beep city unless the CAN-friendly adapters are used.

Yes I know that, so it's only the Pandas with the multi configurable display that have bulb failure warning then. So all Eleganza's, all fitted with a Dualogic gearbox, and any dynamics that had the multi configurable display fitted as an option :)

That it my belief - only cars with multifunction 'pooters have Bulb-Out warnings and therefore the ability to get bitchy about it ;-)

Does the 100hp have the canbus warnings if you fit LED's?

Cheers,

G

Yes - the car needs either a CANBUS adapter (a simple wiring adapter that contains a resistor and sidelight bulb fixings - plug&play stuff) or CANBUS-specific bulbs, but make sure they're not too big to fit through the holes in the back of the light unit. That's why I used the wired adapter thing.

Cheers Ringa :)

Will get some ordered and some silvervision type indicator bulbs. I can't believe manufacturers still fit ugly orange bulbs to cars!
