Puzzling where to put a phone holder. My phone is a dinasaur Samsung, with buttons and everything. What I don't want is a sucker on the windscreen. I mean, who would?

What you got, and does it work? Links would be useful, innit?

Swan neck in the space next to the radio and dashpod halfords for about £15 stick the disc to the dash then stick the swan neck on to in. Holds my iPhone 4s brilliantly.

Same as what I use but I stick mine on the screen without issue. I can understand the OPs opposition to not wanting to do this.

Danke. It's tricky in the Panda - I don't want to use adhesive on the dash, and there's a satnav on the screen already, putting a phone on there will be crowded. There's a secondary vent next to the driver's R/H movable airvent, I'm going to try one of those clip-on holders there.

I can't leave the phone in the cupholder by the handbrake - though I have a Bluetooth hands-free so I could just leave it in my pocket. I like to see who is calling, which means line of sight placement, somewhere.

Aaargh

One small advantage of having the Active Eco with a single Din radio is you get a handy storage pocket above the radio unit! just right for an iphone!

The only grumble about the Panda's interior is that it lacks places to store electronic crap. I put a single DIN radio in my last one to gain a slot for my sunnies, this time, I'm trying to reduce the crap count. I'm not succeeding.

I ordered the Brodit Clip and got a very polite email back saying they didnt stock it, but could get it in from Factory and would take a little longer.

It arrived end of last week and took 5mins to fit and is perfect.
Now I need to get a cradle for my iPhone but the GF says to wait till after xmas.

Anyway, I think the best way to place your phone is your pocket and use a bluetooth hands free to make the calls.

I tend to leave mine in the hole above the stereo, but I do have the single DIN variant. The problem is that when my phone is in the space between the instruments and the stereo hump and I go around a roundabout, the dash works as a ramp and flings it at the passenger. I've hit a couple of them!

If you have an Android phone with driving mode, see if it can read info on the lockscreen. If I knock my Galaxy S3 when it's above the stereo it hits the lock button and reads the time and weather and any missed calls/messages.
