Hi all- been a frequent 'visitor' to the forum for advice- first post though- so here goes. Am planning to change the rear shocks next week, and am wondering what size spanners are needed to remove both top and bottom bolts. Any advice would be great- thanks

Did it last week, very easy and holds no surprises. Think it was 19 bottom, 13 top.

Don't suppose you know what to torque the bolts back up to? Hopefully these Koni's will show up tomorrow after nearly 2 weeks so fingers crossed will be doing my rear's this weekend too.

What shocks did Dan Friel fit to his 100hp last weeknd? Standard or otherwise?

Did it in any way make a difference? Be honest!

Morning.

I fitted Blistein OE shocks. Put the car back to where it should be (the shocks on the car were in a bad way), but no massive improvement over the originals. Have just replaced four worn tyres also, makes everything (handling / ride) seem much "nicer".

Hope that helps.

Appreciate the candour - new tyres are always nice - specially on the front when you go around a corner and are shocked at the lack of turning you need to do.

I without a more radical change the backend is always going to bounce. We'll see how rturner goes with Konis, but by now he's probably used to it and stands a couple of inches shorter on account of the free spinal-disc compression.

I'm still curious how it'd feel (or I'd feel) with it on softer 1.2 Panda Springs.....probably more comfortable but roly-poly. Plus they stand an inch higher. Laziness prevents me from going to the scrapyard and buyign a pair for £20.

Awesome can't wait to hear your initial impressions got mine ordered they should be here next week,i'm really hoping they smooth out the ride it will be money well spent if they do.
