Hi all. Nice to find this forum. I just got a Panda from 2004 and got into some trouble. I only got it with one key, normal type, no remote. The car has central locking as all the doors lock at once when using key on door lock, or when locking from inside. On Christmas I found out that some scumbag drilled the lock on the door and now that's broken. He tried to get the cd-player but didn't succeed. Only damage is the lock barrel. Now until I find a complete set to replace (second hand) I am trying to solve this problem by adding a remote locking system. I bought a kit for about 18 euro with 2 remotes and a control unit. I also downloaded the eLearn software and looking at diagrams. I presume I have to connect this kit to the M001M connector for lock/unlock function, to M001H for windows (kit has negative output for windows) and M001P for turn signals to flash. One thing I noticed is that the left window has an automatic function if I keep pressing for some time on the inside window button, for up and down, but on the passenger side this function doesn't work. The window moves as long as I keep my finger on the button. As well it doesn't work at all if I remove the key from the ignition. Will this affect my ability to close the windows via the remote?
And another thing, does my boot have automatic locking? I only open it with the key. Is there a button in the car that is supposed to pop it? Or this was a feature for the original Fiat remote only? What wire do I need to tap for the aftermarket remote kit to pop the booth? I have this option on the new remote. I repeat, I got the car second hand with only one normal key, no remote, but car has central locking on all 4 doors.
Thank you for your patience, and I would very much appreciate if someone could indicate the booth cable and connector, and if you as well could confirm that the connectors I found are the ones that need fiddling. As well I have 2 options on my remote kit, positive and negative trigger, what type does the Panda need?

Ok, figured out the lock/unlock cables. They need negative feed. But after I fitted my kit I found out a strange problem. Whenever I lock/unlock from the remote, all the locks pop but not the drivers side one. Seems like the motor in the door is dead. And for some strange problem, the lock/unlock command works only if the drivers dor is unlocked/locked. Let's say I'm in the car and I locked the drivers side from the inside. If I press unlock on the remote all the other doors unlock, but drivers side stays locked. But now if I want to lock the car again it doesn't lock. I think it is because the drivers side is still locked so the computer thinks it is already locked so no reason to lock it again. Same is true if I keep the drivers side unlocked and lock the other doors. If I try to unlock via remote it doesn't do anything thinking the car is already unlocked because of the driver's side lever being in unlock position. So basically I did nothing by adding the remote kit :( Still have to travel to the back of the car to lock from inside. Only help I have is when I wish to unlock the car now I can do it via remote, then enter the car via passenger side instead the booth. Is it possible that the actuator from the drivers side is dead? Can I replace it with one from the back doors? Until I find a replacement.

I disassembled the door panel, and managed to get out the drilled barrel from the door handle. I also tried to replace it with the barrel from the gas cap, but they have different ends (the piece that activates the lock by rotation). So no luck here. I will try to find another barrel from scrapped Panda, and maybe will try to jungle with the pieces inside the barrel, maybe use 2-3 compatible ones instead of 8 or so as they are in total. That should work as well. Given the fact that anyone with a portable drilling machine could open my door I'm not so interested in having all of the slides in the lock, nor buying a whole new set. While tinkering at the door I managed to get a glimpse at the place where the locking motor should be, I saw it's slot for the motor and also a white plastic gear wheel that a motor would rotate. All I need to do is find a motor that fits there and install the electrical wires? Would the rest of the mechanism work by only adding a motor? Or are there any other mods that need to be done for the whole central locking to work?
