I have fitted a BEAT Dab / fm cd radio head unit of fleabay for £90 and cannot praise it enough.
it comes with a mag mount antenna that gives great Dab reception but have decided that i would rather have a fixed antenna fitted .
I am thinking of trying a amplified dab splitter unit that uses your standard antenna to feed the head unit with dab and fm signals
But i need to know if the aerial fitted to my 2010 eco panda has a amplified antenna?

i think my best bet is to pull the roof head lining back at the rear and take a gander!
:)

i can now confirm that the aerial is amplified as the base has a power feed cable
So looks like i will have to fit a complete new antenna.
Dab / FM splitter units do not work with amplified aerials

It's defiantly a live feed, I assume you connected a power tester to it

Is it a constant or igintion switched

Fitted a Kinetic DRA-6001 DAB/DAB+/FM/SW/MW/LW bee sting aerial from dabonwheels.
This now gives me fantastic dab reception and no after market magmount
you would be had pressed to know that is's a dab aerial looks like a standard panda unit,
Very easy to fit and hide the cable, rang it all down the passenger side head lining
100% recommend:)

what is the kinnetic like compared to the hirschmann.
I noticed the hirschmann has 4 wires .one 12v to the amplified dab and one 12v to the amplified fm .
But the kinnetic has just one 12v ?
Do you have a picture of the arial?

^^That is just what ive been looking for!! Somthing to save me from having 2 aerials.. :)
