I have a 2010 Panda 1.2 Active. I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the car has Isofix points, and if so, how I can find them? I can't see them on or around the seats, and the manual is less than helpful, saying 'in models/markets where provided'. I don't have split/slide rear seats. The websites for the car seat makers seem to think I should have them, but the fiat website isn't helpful either. Thanks!

Pretty sure that the Active doesn't. Those models which do aren't exactly standard either, it's a "D" shaped latch point doobrie and not all ISOFIX fit, so to speak. For our grandson we ended up installing a belt restrained base and are now using a belt fixed seat - more versatile and very easy to swap from car to car......

Thanks for that. As the Panda is our only car (we live in central London so not much need for cars most of the time) I think we will be looking at something like the maxi cosi easifix base then. I'm definitely keen to get something super easy to get the baby in and out of. So surprised that such a new car doesn't have IsoFix!

this also might be interesting to read before buying

might be worth spending a £1 to get full access to the tests and reviews

Always wondered what those little loops were for in the 100HP and 1.2 - I assumed they were for tying something down in the boot - come to think of it, if they're for tots....

Simple answer:
If you have split fold seats you have Isofix. If you have a once piece seat you don't have Isofix.

Doesn't help that the specs in the back of car magazines all claim the Panda has Isofix when many (most?) don't.

Not so simple, our '07 Dynamic has a one piece rear seat and...ISOFIX fittings
Typical Panda, it was probably made from whatever bits were lying around the assembly line at the time

Ah, that'll teach me to make assertions in posts :)

The only Isofixes I've seen in Pandas have been mounted on the bar where the hinges for the split go.

Is it a 4 or 5 seated.

Before the Eco's it was only ever the Eleganza officially but not sure nower days.

Isofix isn't the be-all and end-all of car seats...

I found that the isofix bases were exceedingly expensive for what they were and there's very few that do an isofix base that will suit both the baby seat and the next seat for up to 4 years. For some then you're talking £300 for a seat which will get nine months to twelve or maybe fifteen months use if you're lucky, depending on the size of the baby.

I used the seatbelts for both the Group 0 and Group 1 seats

I only actually got an isofix Group 2/3 seat as it was the only one that made sense to me. Simply if they're not connected in, you need to belt them in so they're not free in case of an accident. They also have the added benefit of the ability to recline them for long journeys with slightly bigger tired people...
