I have a fiat panda 2006 multijet and i lose the powersteering.
And it becomes hard to drive been to dealers and they want alot of money
and they cannot guarantee it wont go again.why have fiat not recalled
this model and many others with the same problem. any suggestions welcome.thank you trev 1

Welcome to The Fiat Forum! There are plenty Threads in here about Power Steering issues, try a Search. You can get re-worked units at far lower cost than Main Dealer prices.

It's not considered a Safety risk, it certainly is in my humble opinion but thats why there is no re-call for it.

Happens to many electric assisted steering systems on all brands.

Have you checked the alternator output?

Is the battery origonal? If so its probably on its way out, and the reason Fiat havent recalled it is because it isnt that common an issue really.
