Hi All.
i've got a light bulb out on the heater controls on my 2010 Panda, i've read up on here about changing the bulbs on a 2005 & 2006 Panda, is the later one the same?
Mine is the 'face-lift' model with the painted bumpers & big morrors.
Cheers Gareth

Before opening it up I'd give it a little tap with your knuckle, most likely just a dodgy connection, it's happened to me.

 mirror yes sorry (i'm tired)

not if year old, TBH plonk panel out with screwdriver & change yourself if too far away (price of fuel!!!)

I'll forgive you this time...... but don't fail me again :p

So the consensus is

First give the panel a bit of a tap and if that doesn't work, just sort it yourself. PoS Fiat crap! I bet a Toyota wouldn't do this!!!!! :p

Yes you are right it's over 100 miles round trip to the dealer, it's only been back once! The ECU light came on & it needed a new ECU.
I don't trust dealers! Worst thing about new cars, IMHO!

can't say slaters have been less than helpfull with me , but as i've always maintained my own cars, or had specific work done by local garages, the thought of letting someone who has a vested interest in finding things wrong with my car service it seems scary!

I did the heatrer light whilst we were doing the 24K service. It was a bit of a bu**er, i didn't know if the bulb was capless or in a holder, I ended up pushing the holder back into the dash!, i finally got it back in place. The bulb is a 2W capless. pull it out with long nose pliers.
The only thing we found on the service was it needed new front pads. the outer pad on the NS had stck & worn down to about 1mm!!
We fitted new ones after cleaning up the sliders & grinding the paint off the new pads where they fit the carrier.
the brake pedal is still a bit 'long', the rear drums were nice & snug coming off. i might wip them off again & grind the lip off the drums before easing the adjusters out a couple of clicks.

Gareth
