Hi

I have read the stickies and done some searching, finding fiatforum.com/panda/99320-known-faults-problems-issues-things-aware.html this thread that i'm not allowed to link yet .

Some questions I have about the 2008 100HP

1) Is the tracking issue as easy to rectify as it sounds
2) Any other serious issues to be aware of like water damage to ECUs?
3) Are the vehicle schematics available online, I'm a keen electronics DIYer?
4) Are the parts catalogues available online?
5) Is a double DIN conversion a fairly easy job with the right bezel? Will it disable the OEM BT?
6) Is the FIAT diagnostic software floating around on the internet for the DIYer?

Thanks for your help (y)

I have own'd my 100HP since Jan & done the following:

1) Printed off the steering / tracking info from here & got the local tyre place to check them against their Fiat Panda settings. There is no understeer or the tyres are not wearing out, just depends on how u drive the car round corners etc

2) Had no major problems so far apart from rear shocks & worn out front discs & pads from the previous owner as they must of driven it quite hard.

Drove to North Yorkshire last month which is 300 miles each way to visit 2 theme parks.

5) Changed the headunit to a double din, all works fine but i lost the steering wheel controls which I'm not bothered about.

Happy to help with anymore queries.

I bought a Fiat Panda Eleganza about 6-7 months ago (secondhand) but only one owner less than 15,000 on the clock. Steering column went just as sticky says - however Fiat refused to pay anything towards costs. Very disappointed with their customer service - just something to be aware of. Their reason warranty had just ran out so not their responsibility! (n)

So they should cover you once the warranty has expired

Depends on how old the car is and mileage. If not fit for purpose then sales of good act would come into play somewhere I'd have thought. Assuming its just over 3 years old with 15k on the clock I doubt many would say that's fit for purpose? But then again with cars it's all fun and games.
