Hi guys,

Just a quick question... How difficult would it be to fit front fog lights to my fiat panda? Is the wiring already there for them? How difficult would it be to install the original switch too?

Thanks

Tbh if you're just looking to have fogs on the car for looks then put put some fogs in there and don't connect them up.

I reckon if they were purely cosmetic, ie, no wiring/bulbs etc, then it's just a cosmetic addition to the car and wouldn't come under the MOT. Just guessing.

I can't for the life of me remember whether front fogs are actually tested for the MOT. Obviously rear ones are (I've actually taken my rear foglight off my current car as it looks horrible).

It's nothing to do with stones - although feel free to throw them as well as bricks - only rear fogs are subject to testing, fronts, in whatever condition, are ignored.

There is one particular instance where the "if it's on the car it needs to be OK" and that's a spare wheel. Car doesn't need one for MoT, but if it has onoe it must be legal, as the DoT just 'know' that you'd use it if its in the boot, bald as a coot....

Surely you can have dummy foglights, I mean lets face it they are absolutely pointless and even if they were wired up, you'd never use them anyway.
I'm afraid I disagree. I paid for my front fogs as an optional extra and I consider it money well spent. They give a good spread of light close to the car, particularly useful for picking out potholes in poor visibility. (y)

anyone who uses fpglights when there is no fog is an idiot.

You'll love these then Maxi :p
