Putting the old ones back on was a real pain, much more awkward than fitting the Koni's. Looks like the Koni's are actually longer...I had to resort to jacking up the rear axle to be able to get the bolt back in the top eye.

Anyway, the Koni's are ready for you to collect tomorrow!

Collected and should be on the car tomorrow or monday :)
 
Theyre as they were when I bought them, if i remember correctly that was at 3/4 of a turn
I dont think i need to alter that at all, seems spot on to me. Maybe someone with more of a clue would say otherwise though.

Glad you agree about the difference. It was absolutely horrible driving the panda to the dealer for the part exchange. The standard suspension actually threw me off my seat several times. Plain old dangerous if you ask me. Shame I didn't get to find out if adding fronts made a further difference.
 
I've gone for + 180 degrees on rears and 360 on the fronts, a little too stiff so I will back off the fronts to 180 degrees for road use anyway. Then will probably go back up in May for the Nurburgring.
Anyone fancy a Panda/Nurburgring foray next year??

Im toying with the idea of slightly adjusting it, but im not sure it needs it. it may just be the fronts being more noticable now.

think mine are at 270 degrees on the rear
 
Dont think that you will have any problems, far from it the koni's make the biggest difference on the rear as thats where most of the bouncing is prominent due to the fact that there's barely any weight there.
The weight of the engine at the front acts as damping to a degree and is bearable.
I got the koni's fitted all round and the car is much better for it, i set the rears to three quarters of a turn up from softest after reading rturners post and they seem to work pretty well at that still firm but without the annoying pogoing.
Most of the time it is only me in the car so didn't want them to stiff.

I want to fit Konis to a brand-new Panda Twin Air...have you got the part number, or any reference code to help order a set, and where best to get them - preferably over the phone by mail-order? ....thanks.
 
Be interesting to see if the 500 and Panda have converged on things like suspension components, as this would mean there's much more stuff available for the Panda.

Has anyone compared the Koni/Eibach set up to KW Variant 1 coilovers?

I appreciate the coilovers are a little more expensive but not by a great deal.

Advantages/disadvantages to both?

Talking to Andy ( shakeyhandman ) who fitted the KW's to his multijet panda, and he said that the ride quality was very good but, the trade off was that there was excessive body roll (n)

This is something i dont get at all (y) our car corners flat and, ride comfort is superb being so compliant with the road now.

Hope this answers your advantage and disadvantage question :)

Check ebay for the latest deal on Koni sports with H&R springs although, H&R lean more toward a stiffer spring and less road compliant than an Eibach generally :idea:
