Fly wheel figure will be around 120bhp ish with a wheel figure of 107 so yes double the power from standard. This is fooking hilarious....... Bang up the graphs of before and after, I expect you don't have them because it was all a dream you had.

...drove it to many garages including Fiat, nothing except buying a new box, as stated from Fiat,, but that mechanic in the backstreet garage , found that the gearbox gear selector turet was worn at the bottom end.....
And yet, here, https://www.fiatforum.com/panda/265031-panda-performance.html?p=2716302 you stated that you found this yourself? And with all your years of Fiat experience, you had to drive it to "many garages including Fiat" and ended up in a "backstreet garage"?:shrug:

Well my weekends sorted, Whip out the 1.4 twin cam with its pitifully 99 BHP out of our 100 HP.
Source a 1.2 8v Fire engine and install .
stick a boy racer filter on the end of it.
Hope my DISC brakes all round are up to it.
Oh must remember to tell the insurance company of my mods,
and wait for a rebate.:D
As pdtrewern states above, could have saved a fortune buying a 1.2.
What the hell was I thinking.
PS ,not going to tell the wife , just want to see her face when we fly past a couple of BMW s.
Cheers Billy.

Why not just fit a filter on yours, that should give you 198hp then!:D

Hi, I am knew ish to this forum although i look in every now and then,
I think seriously the budgie may be telling the truth, the reason why I say this is because I did see with my own eyes a bog standard 1.2 panda dynamic, on a bhp dyno test, and that was over 100bhp at the wheels, that also had a box problem proir,
someone is missing something here, remember the book states from new the dynamic was 69bhp, at 5000rpm, now is that at the wheels or where else could it be measured from,
So if a panda went at it say at 6000rpm that would give a higher bhp reading that is obvious,
and if the budgie had gearbox work , new clutch etc, and as the bhp is tested via rolling resistant as well as hp, I think there could be something in this,
hey budgie,
and I have the 100hp and it is cruddy on performance 1.4 model, very sluggish, and my work mates seicento 1.1 matches it on acceleration, and thats a bloody fact,

They're 60bhp new, there's no way my 05 Eleganza has 69! Do you have a graph you could show us? Also what air filter are you using?

You'd have to do some drastic mods on an 8v to get anywhere near 107BHP and that's almost double standard output, so i can't see it either..
Alright mate:
the panda dynamic was 69 bhp from new, I know it says 60bhp on the internet, but ask Fiat as we bought one years ago , when the panda first came out, and i know it said 69 as the other model was only 60bhp,

GLOL! :ROFLMAO:

Manufacturer figures are always and always without exception, flywheel figures. You'd probably have to spend more than the car is worth to get over 100bhp at the wheels, from an ancient low tech 8v.

If the peak power was at 5000rpm (which sounds too low for me) then going to 6000rpm would not produce more power as it has already reached it's peak. More revs do mean more horsepower, but only if you've got the cams, breathing and fueling to match.

Are you budgie's best mate?

As TDQ says, figures published by manufacturers are generally speaking the most favourable they can be (although they have an allowable tolerance by law) and are always flywheel figures.

A standard Seicento is 750kg, a 100hp 950kg, so some of the performance difference in engine is sucked up by that. However there is no way a 1.1 Seic should be quicker.

As TDQ says, new-user Marcus, do you know Budgie?!

Are you related to him or something?

If your 100HP is as slow as a 1.1 then you have a poorly panda.

A 1.2 panda will not be anywhere near 100BHP @ the wheels FACT!

You bunch are unbelievable, No i do not know the budgie, however I am a mechanic by trade and have noticed some of the budgies posts to be spot on, against most of you posts which is a lot of nonsense, this is why I hate forums, there full of people who are just wannabe armchair mechanics,
the 100hp is not that impressive, and of coarse the 1.1 will match or out accelerate it, why, i will tell your why. the engine is in proprtion to the cars weight, the seicento is a lot lighter, the gearing is the same as the panda, so Yes dude, it will . and is a well known fact,
you guys love your fiat, but kbow little about it, I suggest, put down your 2000 christmas edition of the top gear manual, and take your car for a drive,
yes the 2004 panda was 69nhp, i was there at the time and bought new from the dealership, end of,
YES i have seen on a rolling road a panda reaching 100bhp at the wheels, so that has decredited your brave but not standing remark on that it wont,
is that your black panda in the picture, it looks cool , but blacking out the windows wont make it go faster,
I am with the top dude with this one the BUDGIE is the panda king, end of,

It's funny how , you use the same , writing style ,
As Budgie , with the same spelling mistakes.

That and your ip adresses match.

Nice try.
